Our 8-5 is fine when comparing the tempo with the complexity of the drill. Alcorn's patterns look nice but they march (walk) slow as hell. Other bands don't do nearly as much drilling as JSU.

...and some folks are too dumb to pretend to know enough about anything. BTW, I would never say that JSU was the best band at drilling...that would be SU or the best band in the stands....that would be TNState but overall, we are the best because we do everything well. Southern's sound does not appeal to me...sounds like roaring traffic with horns blowing.....:lmao:

Name all the things JSU do well since you say they do everything well and in the same paragraph you say they are not the best drilling.. I guess you are going off of what you see some of your colleagues saying and you trying to put yourself in the ballpark.. lol jsue drilling ain't well at all.. you don't like Alcorn but their drilling is better than jsues so is UAPB... so is BAMA st. so is GSU for what they do....
And if you can't drill/march all that well how do describe their MARCHING band again?!?!

I said SU was the best just because someone else is the best at something does not mean that band behind them does not do it well. Again, the BOOM does everything well. And if you think Alcorn marching in slow motion compares to the BOOM, then you don't need to be having this convo with me. If you think band moving for 10 seconds and standing in place for 30 is good, then that is your opinion. I have seen enough BCF in the South and East Coast that I don't need to go by what someone else says. Also, you don't know my taste or background in music... soooooooo

Since I know football better than you, let me give you an example...
SU can have the best defense but JSU can be #2. Gram can have the best Defense but JSU can be #3. PV can have the best special teams but JSU can be #2.....so overall, we ARE GOOD at everything; whereas, your defense SUcks.

yep, we do. I know you want JSU to be flawless because that is reputation but we will get back to that when we get a new band director. Regardless, we STILL march better than 90-95% of the bands out there.

I chose the only school that MIGHT come close to JSU at drilling and they railed miserably.....and on top of these other schools being ragged, they only do short SIMPLE azz drills by making lines and standing still like NCA&T and those MEAC bands. JSU drills to 2-3 songs and we are not standing still HALF of the time. Alcorn drills to a few songs too but they are in slow motion and they play songs in slow motion. Your JSU hate and jealousy can be blinding!

JSU does not drill. I can tell you a typical JSU field show right now:
1) Drum major intro.
2) Tiger-run on
3) Form JSU
4) Float JSU down to the 50
5) J-sette feature
6) Dance routine
JSU does not drill. SU does a drill. Alcorn does a drill. Prairie View does a drill. Grambling does a drill.

I can't see what you posted at work but let me inform you that you must be crazy. JSU drills about as much as Alcorn except at a faster tempo...you all march slow and STILL have crooked lines.
Also, Alcorn is a copycat band of JSU so whatever we do, ya'll do. If you drill off 2-3 songs, you better believe JSU was doing it first...and uuuum, PLEASE don't ya'll ever try to form a star again....:lmao:

You obviously have never seen a JSU halftime show if you think that we don't drill A LOT after we form JSU. What do the twirlers and Baby Tigers dance perform to? Get Ready? :lmao:

I've seen a JSU show. If you see it once, you've seen it a thousand times. Yall don't do anything different. It's the same show every year. I've seen JSU enough times to know that you all do not drill. It's exactly what I listed. You all may march into another formation for the twirlers and Baby Tigers but you DO NOT do a drill.
Alcorn has NEVER drilled slow. There have been plenty of times where Grip told us that we had to pick up the tempo. Sometimes, it was to the point where the drill was faster than the actual tempo of the song. Everything has to be faster to fit into the allotted time we have for halftime.
Besides, if you knew anything about marching band, it would be actually harder to do a slow drill.

Tigerpride now you know that Alcorn is a better drilling band than Jackson State! Alcrons drilling concept is more creative than JSU's! Both bands lack drive and execution in their shows but at the end of the day Alcorn is a better drilling band than JSU! Like it or not!
