Have anyone ever had something damage? what did you do. I felt like beating ole boy arse..

No, thank GOD. So far, I've had pretty good experiences w/them. I'll see if that good streak continues on next year, when I relocate.

oh my Lord! they dropped them? now i'm terrified seeing that moving is on the horizon, because i have a gigantic floor mirror, and if anyone dropped it, i'd cut a batch.

I have used U-Haul. :D

Is there an insurance contract Delock? Man that's messed up they dropped those. smh

I used United Van Lines when I moved from Little Rock back to Memphis. They came in and packed up everything and the only thing that was damaged was a partical board dresser I had in my kids room. I didn't even ask for a reimburstment since we had had the thing for three years and we got good use out of it.

I'm getting a lawyer.

Man, this move was going excellent until dumbarse dropped my units.

I'm getting a lawyer.

Long story short. I had two moves taking place on Friday. One was for my stuff and the other one was for my aquarium.

The washer and dryer was going into storage at the new place. I told the driver (asshole who drop my ****). To load them last since they were going straight to storage. Well he didnt listen.

Futhermore, when we get to the new place. He start talking about I need to pay him before he could unload. I was like ok...payed the man and told him to take the units off first. Didnt happen. Since I had to get back to my house I kept asking when was the units coming off. One of the guys told me once they unload my plasma's they (another mover and the guy he was working with)would grab them.

I run downstairs to show them where the storage unit was and saw a huge dent in the corner of the dryer and the washer face down.

Man, i'm gettting pissed again...

file the paperwork and get a new set and let your blood pressure down.

Or, better yet, tell'em they can come get the damaged goods and give you a GOOD pair that you paid for. :)

I purchased a set almost like that from Best Buy and the washer messed up the first time after ONE use. :retard: I impolitely lit up into the GM and told them he could have all his sh*t back and also don't ever write my crib w/ Best Buy propaganda or I'd sue (add me to the DNC - Do Not Contact list which ALL corps have ;)). It was a 1200$ set back in the day and he dropped the purchase price down to 600+$ something along those lines. lol I felt vindicated as well as him PROMPTLY giving me another new washer. :emlaugh:

Confuscious say.... The squeaky wheel... gets the grease. ;) You should start squeaking and go to the top and let'em hear you @ that level. Don't wait or it'll make you look like you're trying to get over. Do it IMMEDJIATELY.

as for insurance. When I called the company to complain. The owner asked me if driver gave me a blue pamphlet. I tlod the owner no and what the fugg is the blue pamphlet. So I asked the driver for the blue pamphlet over and over again. I had to bounce so I put my mom on him...well she got the pamphlet and went off. It's some stupid reg saying crap.

Anyway...I'm getting pissed again.

But, let me share this. The dropper was doing inventory of my items before they loaded them. Come to find out he marked all my stuff as slightly damage or fair! How did I find out? Because his dumb ass left his copy of the paper work at my house. Damn, I wish Marvin Zindler was still alive.

And just to throw this in. The other movers was cool as hell. But they told my mom that the dropper alos fugged up someone stuff the day before.

Time for a smoke

Hey, the companies are use to this. These accidents happen daily in their business as well as calls from lawyers. They are probably old hands at that game. But definitely don't wait...and much success. Usually they want to rectify this as soon as you do unless they are scammers.

Yes, when we moved to Harvest, AL, they scratched my new hardwood floors to the tune of $431. The flooring company is coming on Friday to pick out and replace the scratched boards.

Also, North American will be repairing the legs on our highboy and one of the posts on our Rice Bed.

That is MY SET in that color too! If they dropped it, they will replace/repair.

The company who scratched the floor only needed me to fax an estimate to repair the floor. They mailed the check the next day.

North American---I have to file the number which was on their packing list their website.

Nope, my movers were EXCELLENT. Not a scratch or dent. Now my husband on the other hand....One of my lampshades is still on I-220 somewhere...LOL I knew I should have just put those last few items on the moving truck.

I used a moving company when I first moved to Maryland. They didn't damage anything of mine, but one of the movers took a dump in my bathroom. How are you going to come over to someone elses place that you don't know and take a dump in their bathroom? He said he wanted to use the bathroom, but I thought he just had to take a pizz! After the movers had left, I went to the bathroom and the dude had taken a dump. It smelled horrible!

That sounds like me! We we moved to our current home, I didn't use any movers. I asked some friends and my brother flew up from Mississippi to help us move. I scratched up every dresser that we have in our room:-)! Sometimes it's best to use professionals.

How about, One of my potnas asked to use the restroom,
and this clown grabs a book off my bookshelf and glided into the
restroom :xeye:

I moved from VA to FL 20 years ago. I had 3 pieces damaged. I filed the claims and everything got replaced. No problems. The company paid for the move so it cost ME nothing.

One of the reasons movers charge so much (my opinion) for their services is to hedge their damage claims. You are paying for both their professionalism and their lack of professionalism.

Forget the lawyer for now and file the claim. If they surrender anything less than total restitution, then tell them you are getting the lawyer. If that does not change their minds, then get the lawyer and don't say another word to the moving company nor insurer; let the lawyer do the talking.
