I probably know your father and/or mother. Although no Blacks lived on Dewey Street when I lived in Greenwood(1949-67), I do know some Ellis from high school. Crit's mother is my sister.

I would like to thank everyone who replied to my request. I stop by the Elk's after the football game nice but empty. Walk across the street to Orlando five bucks cover charge, good DJ. This cat knew his crowd he kept the place :jump: Someone could have told me about this city being a BYOB!:kaioken: Kellis Greenwood is a very visitor friendly. Mane them females were looking at me like  They looked me in the eyes and then did a quick glance at my crotch. After this happen a couple of times, I had to check to see if I had not zipped my fly or something. I ask this lady setting next to me who was Orlando? She informed me it was just the name; she said the owner name was Bob. Come to find out the owner was the person who took my order. Left Orlando and went by The Big 25 ordered a cheeseburger with the works. Mane that was the best advice anyone could have given me and their beer was ice cold. I sat at the bar and talked to Crit uncle the whole time I was in there. Mr. Rucker is alright with me.:D I got the history of the Big 25 from a Mr. Lispcomb, a real nice fellow. Pete said he knew the Ellis family. So if you are that neck of the woods you have got to visit the Big 25 and Orlando. They may be in the hood, but the hood is not in them.

Plow, I am glad you had a good time. I forgot, Greenwood is BYOB. I'm mad that Redskin charged you $5 to get in Orlando's. Anyway, wasn't that hamburger the BOMB?

YES! YES! YES! The beer and the burger were worth it. After watching that football game and its outcome. I needed that.:smash:"?" Is it X-mas year round in Greenwood? :dizzy:

Ramada Inn in greenwood bout the only hotel worth staying at. We usually blow in there and get the hell on after the game.

When I was their in the early 90's, The Best Western next to Shoney's was better than the Ramada.
