Grambling's Top 80 players - what about MATT REED??

How do you have a Top 80 players of all time at Grambling, without my man Matt Reed??

Reed was All-SWAC in 1972, and Grambling won the SWAC and the national black college championship going 11 and 2.

We need a recount.

Robert Atkins was only a second round pick, played in the East West Shrine game and played both DB and receiver. Names amall college all-america and had a decent NFL career....and he can't make that list

Now I can see if this list was say..... 1980 and younger but I thought it was very comprehensive. Face facts. Every "Greatest of all time" list will not agree with everyone. Can you all just accept the list, agree to disagree and move on? Sheesh!

He wasn't the best defensive back on those late 1960s teams. That would be Hilton Crawford.

It was interesting to see this. I didn't know Coach Garrett was that good in college.

19. John ?J.D.? Garrett: Led Grambling in rushing in 1962, and in scoring for the 1962 and ?63 seasons as both a runner and a kicker - scoring 130 total points over those two campaigns. Was first-team all-conference every season from 1961-63.

However, If you're going to include Mike Williams, Skippy Ezell has to be included (I will assume Mathew Reed was simply overlooked..........can't see any other reason).

Jim Gregory played a few sets, but never made it past Shack and Reed into the starting lineup.

The funny part was, there was several other white athletes around campus at the time - including some from Greg's hometown on the baseball team. But, hey, that's the movies. I guess you've got to make the plotlines as simplistic as possible.
