By joining the coaching staff at LSU, Wells-Broughton is returning to the state where she began her coaching career in 1997 as a graduate assistant at Grambling State (Grambling, La.). Wells-Broughton played for the Lady Tigers from 1993-1995 and earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree during her time at Grambling State. As a player at GSU, Wells-Broughton helped the Lady Tigers earn their first NCAA Tournament bid in 1994.

At LSU, Wells-Broughton will work under first-year head coach Van Chancellor. Wells-Broughton joins an LSU program that has advanced to the Final Four each of the last four seasons.

Not sure if she applied or was interested. The lady hired was a proven head coach, albeit at NAIA Langston.

Don't worry MB, you guys got a good one in Drain. Her resume is very impressive. This lady at LSU would probably turn all SWAC schools down in a heartbeat since she has SEC coaching experience.
 
C-Leb when are ya'll gonna make her hiring offcial everybody knows that's ya'll next head coach. lol:swink:

I'm not sure if she'd be ready to "bus" it in the SWAC...I think that's why she would turn it down...SEC = SWAC
 



Did i miss something? I thought GSU hired a new Women's Bball Head Coach this spring with a great resume and a proven winner! Some peeps reach to damn far lol!:smh:

You right newboy, I hear she is in line to get the Tennessee job when Summit decides to hang it up. Boy, if we were only so lucky to get a coach like that. Well, we can keep on dreaming. :smh:
