OK, Cool. And that is what I was thinking BD was saying too. And to that, I say what lilrj said. Don't just focus on Williams. Keep in mind, Williams was the 3rd string QB when the season started. When Fobbs made the comment at the beginning of the season that any of our QBs could be the starter, he wasn't lying. S. Johnson had secured the starting position. He was balling. Just ask the J-State folks. He, unfortunately, lost the starting spot due to injury. DJ got injured in the PV game and then J. Williams comes in and takes over.

But make no mistake about, we can run with our RBs if we need to. My only criticism is that we don't run enough at times, but it certainly isn't because a team has stopped us from running.

I agree, we give up on the run to quickly. I liked what we did against TSU to open the 2nd half, a scoring drive without a single Pass! We need to run the ball down the throat of opponent, I believe in run to open up the pass to open up the run, in other words: DONT STOP RUNNING THE BALL!!

No one said it, SU are the ones acting brand new since winning the SCG, look at self first. Never seen anyone from GSU that we were unbeatable but currently we are unbeatable in the SWAC. No one else can say that. lol
 



That game was more of a testament to our lack of talent and depth more than anything. No way a team that turns the ball over 5 times has any business winning that game. Our offensive line was whipped all night long, and nothing was more evident than not being able to fire off the ball and get ONE yard for a touchdown. Comegy and crew has their work cut out for them this year. They are going to have to replace 18 seniors and upgrade the talent at the same time. The 2 most pressing need are along both lines of scrimmage and quarterback. I been preaching this for years. We have got to find a competent quarterback who can lead a team.

lol while this is true, Grambling can run if they wanted to. They don't have a special back but they can pound it if need be. I think they just choose not to because the QB is their strength.

What's amazing to me is that is Gramblings philosophy on both D & O. On O they let their QB shine, On D they isolate your QB, take all his weapons away and make him be a one man show. It basically comes down to my QB is better than your QB and so far Grambling's QB has been the better of the two on the field.
 
No Grambling fan is acting brand new to what is happening right now. Winning is nothing new to Grambling football. This year's team is very unorthodox, but it is working. More power to any future opponent who believes that Valley has issued the key. The G-Men are on a mission.

Well, we turned the ball over 5 times and still had GSU on the ropes and still had a chance before a fumbled spiked ball... They didn't lose the ball ONCE to us... bastids! LOL

Yeah they allowed 2 years to make them forget lol. They forgot since they beat the G-Men when they were poorly coached.
