Grambling peeps

What happenned to Jomarcus Savage? I know he had one more year to play but I dont see him on GSU's roster?
 



Damn... Im highly dissapointed! He was looked up to by every kid in our neighborhood and high school. One of the best defenders to ever come out of our part of town. I thought he would someday be in the league.
 
No you Gramblinites didn't say his "grades"!!! OMG!!! You mean you're allowed to say that now? You mean no other Gramblinites will get on here and be pissed that you know some "highly confidential information" from the university? My, my how things have changed since a certain QB had to transfer to a D2 school because of poor grades. It's OK now to publicize this type of information, I see. Crits!

Yeah, they are allowed to say that and have ALWAYS been allowed to say that. HOWEVER, no one in this thread has broken any LAWS by providing GPA specifics as was one done in the previous case...REMEMBER???? Ain't a gott damn thing changed. The said part is that you don't know the difference.

So go some place else with that BS.

The "said" part is you know there is not a difference yet you PRETEND you don't. GPA specifics or not, the end result is the same. THEY FLUNKED OUT.

BS recognizes BS. And YES, a gott damn thing HAS changed.
 
Anthony Carrothers was not sent away because of Grades... Doug never stated that as the reason. I recall him saying that he told Carrothers that his style of play didn't fit what he wanted to do with his offense. It appears to be a mutual case of deciding it's best to go elsewhere. I hate it didn't work out... We could use Carrothers!

Why are some in the Gram camp thinking that kid was sent away because of grades? Sounds like Doug just didn't want the kid and the kid bounced but some want to cover for Doug and say the kid left because he flunked out? Just asking? It seems to be conflict on why the kid left. There were all kinds of rumors floating around.

BTW,
I liked that kid. He was all world in HS. Same HS Chris Leak that played at Florida came from. Dude could ball. I thought he would get better. Doug probably don't like them small Qbs. LOL. Where is AC now?


Never mind, I see he is at Winston Salem State as the number 2 QB after being redshirted last year. Threw a TD in their win last week for them.

He went to Winston Salem State... they redshirted him last year as they were set with a Jr at QB. Not sure where he's at on their depth chart... I didn't keep track of him once he left.

I don''t understand the "cover up" either...Some of these folks were a trip. Remember Greg Dillon...they criticized his play at qb even though he was winning. Now when mention is made of qb play nowadays, it's because the person "doesn't like Doug", I think Dillon was criticized because of the system he played in and the fact that his game was different from the Play Station offense of Melvin Spears who a lot of them were chummy with. B'way didn't make it better either...he was deemed aloof (probably was) but I don't interact with coaches to the extent that some seek too so I don't know. I just know that it got so petty that the man couldn't wear a grey suit without some saying he hates Grambling Colors. Of course Doug can show up in a Navy Blue Neru Jacket and it's all good (lol).

Lol. Well MB, I am like you. I don't care if my coach is trying to interact with me personally either. Pete was like that. Not a bad dude. But he wasn't looking to be shucking and jiving with you either. My only problem is that he was perceived to not want to go out and recruit himself. I don't think Broadway was like that. At least my perception of him was not that way. Broadway probably would have been a better fit at SU as long as he won. LOL. Pete was fine with him being aloof as folks called him sometimes as long as he was kicking arse with those "individuals" he had on the team.

I just want a coach to win, recruit well, keep focus on the academics and he should make himself accessible to the alums who are really giving(money and/or time) to the program. I don't expect a coach to have to kiss all the babies out there. Some folks get caught up in that. I do expect the coach to reach out to Alumni chapter Presidents for help if he needs it and not do everything in a vacuum. That's all I think any should require. We gone get enough of treating folks who are not from our schools like dirt especially when they are trying to do the right thing and they are succeeding. I can understand if Broadway was getting his arse kicked. But he wasn't.

Not me... that kid and Greg Dillon won lots of games for us, but for some reason there was a faction of fans who said they didn't "look like Grambling qb's". Seeing them Hoist Bayou Classic and SCG trophies looked like GSU qb's to me!
