Grambling Coaching Staff Update


Grambling is just lucky that jsu is in the SWAC. jsu was the laughing stock of the SWAC and overshadowed all of Grambling's issues.

I am so happy that my fellow Gramblinites are happy about the changes that have been made.


However, I don't see what the hell the party and parade is about. This list is a perfect example of why the administration needs to go at Grambling. I am not saying they can't win together. It's the SWAC! Anything can happen. However, this coaching staff is unimpressive to me. The disrespect for Doug by so called Grambling fans is sick as well. Doug has more championships than the average SWAC coach sees in his lifetime. Rod Broadway left town due to crazy fans bashing him for winning 9 games without a SWAC championship in the same year. And this was one season after winning the SWAC title! I don't know what my Gramblinites are drinking in North Louisiana these days, but it is full of something.

No, you hush. How many SWAC Championship trophies does the program have because of Doug? I wasn't a fan of his second stint, but facts are facts.

I think it was a good hire and he has pulled together a good staff... I see an upgrade at every position!

Doug disrespected Grambling by talking them boys into boycotting, now Grambling has to come out the pocket, not Doug. Don't say he didn't do it either because he did. If he was big enough to stop them after the fact, he could have done it before the fact. He knew because his son was apart of it but you want to talk disresepct. Screw Doug he shouldn't have never came back.

You mean Spears won and Roach helped. Doug aint won shit but a big ass pay days. Then sued da University for all he and Spears could get.

Say what you want, that boycott sure made this horrible administration get off their lazy butts and take care of these players! Lilrj1919, I am shocked at you of all people on this board. I know who you are and know that you can vouch for poor conditions at Grambling that go unknown until students take action. You have seen this in front of you own eyes.
Gramblinites hate the truth, but I am going to speak it. Without throwing dirty laundry on this page, I am just trying to point out that sometimes Grambling needs to be called out doing wrong to start doing right. Those players and coaches dealt with a lot of bull from this horrible administration.

I know about the situation but Doug making them boys do that was all wrong. I refuse to have a p!ssing match in public also. No institution is perfect and Doug is far from perfect. Yes it opened some eyes and got some things done but at the expense of Grambling State University paying and playing and Jackson 3 years str8. smh. I also think this staff will turn it around. Winning cures a lot of things.

Did you say resumes? Do you realize how many of the previous staff had NEVER coached college football before past being Grad Assistants? I won't go there...but man, c'mon!

MikeBigg sometimes I wonder if I attended the same college as some of the other alumni.

Ok? And what? Just because I wasn't a fan of his second stint doesn't mean I agree with the way he was let go. I am a realist. Fair is fair and respect is respect. I didn't like Rod Broadway's style of coaching, but I felt that he was a proven winner and could turnaround things quickly. Just because I didn't like his coaching style doesn't mean I wanted him gone or fired!

I wish Fobbs well and want him to bust as much *ss as possible, however, I am not going to overhype this staff like many of you are doing.

I don't see any upgrades in key positions,(HC,DC,OC), as far as what they have done in their careers.



Like I have said in the past, I wish Fobbs well. We are in the SWAC, therefore I am not saying that this staff can't win. I just hope this administration gets there acts together. From the looks of previous post, many Gramblinites have no clue about whats going on.

It's hard to win football games on any level if you don't have the proper staff in place. Good luck Coach Fobbs and I'm looking forward to the Black and Gold game this spring.
