Grambling’s Warren Is Finally On The Payton Watch List

Perhaps the powers that be took note of your article on last week. Warren deserves to be on that list just as much as anyone.

Webber you can have a good game after this weekend

It's great that Warren is on there. I don't think they want 2 players from the same conference on the Payton watch list but they need to let the numbers speak for themselves. That would be fitting to have a rb and wr from the same conference on the Payton watch list.

Bet Grambling makes into top 25 later today.

They made it in at #23, but the SWAC continues to have 60% participation in the TSN poll process. Perhaps Kenn can blast them next for not helping the SWAC, though the 60% is obviously very active in helping out - see the ORV.

TT can you explain the process (in layman's terms) and who typically within a conference is responsible for participation.

TSN sends a letter/e-mail to all the SIDs (schools and conferences) prior to the season. They ask whether the school SID and/or a member of the media representing the school would like to participate in TSN's polls and award voting. This process starts anew each year - so if they missed the boat last year, they can get onboarthis year.

So in theory, each school could have two people (and in the case of the CAA - a few do!). The SWAC currently has six of their 10 schools represented (60%), plus the conference office.

After the criticism leveled against the poll this year - Craig Haley showed the voting pool. Some conferences have 12-17 participants representing them. It's unreal! There is an obvious unbalance.

Thanks Kenn, that really makes me feel better. Still we need 100% participation because unfortunately there's a regional bias as well as low disregard for our conference.

A good running back that has good feet and is good out of the backfield, he has NFL Skills and glad to see on the list.
