Spivery was extended by LaFleur. He hired Stump (who doesn't even like him now for some other unprofessional things he did this spring). He basically has us in jeopardy of losing our NCAA certification. AND he got arrested twice.

Just keep reading and watching JayRob......his days were numbered. Seriously. It will all unfold soon enough.

We all said he done to himself. But a new regime is in control of SU. None of the folks who put him there remain. So he was on the hot seat. Obviously SU is doing house cleaning and he just got cleaned out sooner than later. But every coach was turning on him including Stump and Sandy Pugh who will get his job now. Cador was still pissed about stuff too. So it was inevitable. Not to mention the BOS has new members. Everything was lining up against him.

Even Spivery threw him under the bus today with his Lawyer's statement. So even if this had not happened. He was going down.

Just like nobody cared about how many women your former and now current coach has had OUTSIDE of his wife. That don't reflect on Gram. It reflects on him. Same for our situation.

With the recent developments of Greg LeFluer leaving the Bluff here's my theory on what's going to happen with the Jaguars football program. To all you haters, SU will either:

1. Go at least 6-5 next year. Stump Mitchell has no choice but to have a winning season. I don't see Stump being that stupid and putting in two back-to-back losing seasons at a highly respected institution/program such as Southern U.! That's career suicide!

2. Definitely cut Stump if he doesn't go 6-5. Time at SU will be short. A new head football coach will be properly picked. Aside from basketball and baseball, Baton Rouge is a football town and Southernites will not allow Stump to linger as long as Spivery. You think the phone calls made today to release LeFluer were up in number that ain't nothing compared to if Stump has another losing season. Folk will riot.

So, there you have it, two good things will definitely happen next year to Jaguar football: a winning season and/or a new coach.

Hey, we've got some ground to cover but the future looks bright. New chancellor coming, new AD coming, new basketball coach coming and if my predictions are right a new head football coach. If Mason plays his cards right he could be the catalyst for SU's turnaround.

Actually that aint true dude. Stump has more allies than you think. He and the AD were not boys like folks thought they were and he is probably celebrating just as much as anybody. Stump has to do what any coach has to do........win and now graduate players. That didn't change whether the AD was still there are not. Because make no mistake, the AD would have thrown his coach under the bus if he had to fire him. Didn't stop him from firing Spivery this spring. You really need to talk to folks in the know in BR. Stump had more job security than our AD did even before this happened. I told yall that months ago. Bigtyme69 done told yall this. Folks like his willingness to get out and hustle in BR for SU. He aint hated like some of yall on here portray.

Dude will you quit with the Comegy crap. Dude is going to be gone after this year. Please face that fact TP. JSU will have a new football coach in 2012. Too many things going against him. Maybe an undefeated season and a big APR jump might save him.

Man, what does Comegy have going against him? APR won't get him fired becasue that is constantly rising. This is what matters.

Win the SWAC: Get contract extension.
Go to the playoffs: possible contact extension
Don't get to Bham: FIRED
Get to Bham and lose: not sure he but I would assume FIRED.

You so nor I can say if this is Comegy's last year. That is his destiny to decide.

Also, we talkin about this year when we come to BR and bust ya'll in the mouth. Though I must admit, I am not as down on Stump as some others are. I think he can win at SU. The main thing I liked about him was that (aside from that TxSorry azz whoopin), his kids fought to win games. He is also a good azz kisser to the Nation. Last year, I predicted SU would finish 8th in the SWAC overall...only ahead of Valley and Alcorn but he finished 9th..only ahead of Valley. But I think this year, he can have a middle of the pack squad that can run with the mediocre teams in the SWAC like AAMU, PV, UAPB, Valley, and Alabama State... But JSU, TxSo, Alcorn and Grambling gonna bust ya'll azz! I can see SU going 5-6 this year.
