People started disliking Wayne so much when others started comparing him to their favorite rapper.... thats the way its always been. Nobody was hating on Wayne when Carter 1 was out.. but when he stepped up his game and went on another level...thats when the hating began.....

same thing Drake is going through. People will say "he's nice" until he is compared to their favorite rapper.

Big L was the freestyle king before he died...

Wayne oversaturated himself, to where everything he raps about is the same and everything he does is predictable.......like Drake :shame:

Freestyle King?? That's hard to narrow it down to just one cat..

Big Gipp from the Goodie Mob - crazy ad-libs. That cat's a walking encyclopedia

Willie D from the Geto Boyz - saw him at a club years ago in Houston. He rapped about what everybody had on. And that isht was ON POINT. And funny too.

MJG from 8Ball & MJG - Honestly, I think there's nobody better than this dude. He carries 8Ball on most of their cuts.. And his freestyle is fierce..

you dont like Drake because he got more popular in 3 months than your favorite rapper "Lupe" in 4 years.... and for you to say that everything Drake raps about is the SAME... you aint listened to NONE of this albums... how is he predictable... hell you dont even know if he is going to rap or sing.

Ain't none of them made Puffy money, and that cat can't rap. He use to be able to dance, but time has ended that.

IMO

Rakim is the king of freestyle period.

But anyone that's been mentioned so far in this thread

DMX would destroy them

Maybe before the crack

Thank you...

Co-signing twice.

Wayne was at his peak but then he just started saying anything.

Kanye was alright too.

STC has always been a fan of Nas music. Jay is cool but I lean more toward Nas, Mos Def and the other conscious mc's.

STC is just a fan of lyrics that have some sort of message and substance.

Common remix of the Corners with Scarface was outstanding.

Scarface is one of the few south mc's to ever come out that was a lyricist.

Puff was a dancer back then. He didn't start rapping til Big told he should try it.

This damn Autotone is floating some mighty weak artist careers.

DAYUM U AUTOTONE!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

STC hopes that NAS don't follow the trend.

"They" say that the game gonna get back to the Lyrics one day.

Lupe was a lyricist.

At oen time in houston, Lil Flip proclaimed himself the freestyle king. Lil Keke before Flip deemed himself a Freestyle Pro.

Eveybody thinks tey the King When there are none.

Jays "American Gangster" was one of the best albums that STC have heard in a looooong time. "No Hook" is insane.

Nas last album was very good also. "Slave and The Master" "Testify"

A tight Beat is nice to have but if that Mc aint sayig shit then what's the point.

R.I.P Big L.......he was a beast.

Yes he was. I'm trying to find that song he did off of a sample/cover instrumental of Micheal Jackson's "Rock With You". I think the hook went like, "It's Big-L.."

He had a video for it, too. Can anyone help me find it?

Thanks in advance.
