Forgetfulness

Fortitude

I'm sure I'm the only one who does this:

I grabbed my purse & bag this morning & darted out the door only to get to work & realize I left my wallet on the ironing board!

Don't you have when you rush & forget something?! Last year I came out of the house w/one blue shoe on & one black shoe. I'd been at work for a good while when my co-worker looked down at me & did a double take and said, "Uhhhhh Fortitude, are you okay? Well, your shoes don't match!" (I have 3 pairs/colors of the same style shoe.)

I can get forgetful, too. There have been times where I went through my wallet the night before, left it on the nightstand, didn't put it back in my purse and rushed out the house the next morning without my wallet. I hate it when that happens.

I've done this too..wearing mismatched shoes!:lmao::lmao:

At least once a week, I will go back home to check and see if I turned the iron off! Sometimes it's still on to!

I can't stand it either, Forti-poo. I'm starting to forget a lot lately...:shame: I guess old age is kicking in....lol

My po co-worker came to work w/her shirt on inside out and after I laughed at her I had a comparable incident. I had been at work for at least 2 hours and went to the restroom. While there I noticed the tag was in the front of the pants. Since they were knit, I was able to quickly turn them around & keep moving! :lmao:

That's the reason I had to get an auto-shutoff iron! :lmao:
I kept feeling like I was gonna burn the house down!

I'm not claiming that. What are you all talking about again?
See, it's already sneaking in on you & Warndalyn! Everyone that knows me knows I have very poor short term memory recall. If you interrupt me while I'm talking, I cannot RESUME the conversation nor remember what we were talking about. :( :D

That's the one that's been getting me a lot, lately. I keep forgetting the turn that damn iron off. What is up w/that? I never use to forget so much...I guess I just have a lot on my mind, these days.

I'll walk in another room of the house, or get up from my desk at work and my mind will go totally blank. I have forgotten what I walked in the room for, or why I got up from my desk....po' me. :emlaugh:

I totally feel you...girl, it's gettin' pretty bad. And the sad part is I always tease my Mother about not remembering anything. She'll be talking to you, then say, "chile, what's your name and what was I saying?" Then she burst out laughing and say, "oh yeah, that's it...now, where was I?" :lmao:

O.K. I'm going to make you all laugh.........

I went to the movies in a mall and planned on doing a little shopping after the movie. I parked my car at the Movie Theatre. After the movie, I went directly to the mall, an area I frequent quite a bit and pretty much have a routine (park in front of the store). Well after shopping, I went in the parking lot looking for my truck in front of the Department store and was convinced that someone stole it (you couldn't tell me any different... :emlaugh: ) After a while, I realized that it was parked at the Movie theatre. .. :emlaugh:

I often wonder if I turned the iron off or unplugged the curlers.
I double back all the time to make sure I locked the door.

I am the same way. :lmao:

I went to the movies on Thursday and kept wondering why my pants felt like they weren't covering me. When I went to the restroom, I realized I had my pants on backwards. :lmao: :lmao:

I tend to forget to put on my deodorant in the mornings, after I shower and moisturize. :xeye: I always think about it after the fact. smh

It is a running joke with me. My shirts were inside out when I would get up at 4:30 AM to leave the house for 5 to be at work for 6. I wore a shirt inside-out all day. I never noticed it because I had the knit jacket over it that matched the pants. I got home to cook, waste something on the jacket. Took it off to put spray and wash on it....THAT is when I realized I wore the thing like that ALLLLLLLLLLLLL day!

I often wonder about the flat irons being left on. The iron was auto shut off and since my last job was at a plant, I didn't iron much..
