He must have been doing something right cause nobody every complained and nobody ever took his arse to court sueing him for millions.
The kids never complained, baby's momma never complained, Gramdma never complained, but outsiders that don't know shat are complaining like a mofo. :lol:

Now everybody got an opinion on how many MILLIONS he should have given grandma when nobody here know WHAT GRANDMA WAS GETTING.
People saw $500 a month and now everybody is a bleeding heart expert. :lol:

I don't care what he was doing "on the side", 500 a month was a disgrace. I know regular folks paying more than that.

Struck a nerve! That's just it, I don't care about your opinion. You seem to be worried about how much child support the dude was paying. The thread starter posted a story about the guy who sold the gun to ole girl getting arrested and all you see is the amount of child support Steve was paying. The conclusion I gathered from the article is that another illegal arms dealer is off the streets of Nashville. One less person adding violence to the streets of Nashville.

Damn I was just marveling over that amount. LOL I am actually surprised mom never asked for any type of adjustment. Usually rich cats who got cooperation like that break off a large chunk, buy a crib and vehicles, and just whatever the kid needs over time. That's probably what he did.
 
Should child support be based off the amount of money that someone makes or the amount of money it takes to raise a child.

It should be(and usually is) based on how much you make. The actual cost of raising a child is too subjective a number.

Steve slept with a woman who wasn't his wife, and that crazy hoe killed his ass with a weapon she got from a convicted felon. The minute he made the decision to stick her ass, his BUSINESS became an open book. My house don't have to be in order for me to see that, and the fact that HE made decisions which resulted in HIS BUSINESS being made PUBLIC means it is open for discussion.

Ye'en gotta like it, but it is what it is.

I for one don't have an issue with what kind of child support he was paying, because I'm pretty sure he did more than that for his kids, but I'm gonna need folks to stop being so sensitive about his business, because his business been in the streets for a minute. It just wasn't on every street.
 
and realized that a piece of ass is just NOT worth it! Having a wife and a side piece will catch up with you...Not saying that McNair deserved to die, but had he been a faithful and honest man he would've been alive today... playing emotional mind games is a very dangerous game to play and you reap what you sow. He left a terrible legacy for his 4 young boys who are now fatherless.

Just say that hooker should have stayed her arse at home and since she didn't, she got what she deserved for playing with a man emotions.:)

Personally, I think it should be based on the amount of money that you make a month. You hear too many times about EX or Current - ATHLETES/CELEBS/ going broke bankrupt etc. I believe if you are paying child support based off of what you make then your should not have to suffer when you go broke. At least the child can get something out of the deal when the parent is worth something.
 
Apparently Tennessee law gives spouses more than Mississippi. In Mississippi, all heirs share equally. In Tennessee, spouse gets 1/3. So, Mechelle gets 1/3 instead of 1/5 in Mississippi. Another issue that may come up is Steve's residence at the time of his death. Did he really live in Tennessee or did he live in Mississippi. Mechelle was living in Mississippi. I thought Steve was, too. If so, someone can contest Tennessee having jurisdiction to have this matter administered in Mississippi under Mississippi law.
