Fathers Day Presents.....

Swacpage Daddy's What are the best gifts you've ever
gotten for Father's Day?

Or (if not a dad) what would you want if you were a Dad?

It is my opinion that Dad's get the short end of the stick.
People shop for their Moms months in advance, then run
out the day of and pick out anything for Dads. It's not right.
This year is my husbands first Father's Day and I want to
get him something "manly" that he would enjoy.

Any suggestions?

The reason why Mother's Day is more hyped up is because there are more mothers raising children than fathers and there are more mothers doing a so-called father's job....We all know that. Plus, women get more hyped up about receiving gifts and what-not.

My father won't be getting jack from me as usual, but my mother will receive something...again, along with my grandfathers.

TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM

I think the best gift a son can get his dad is just spending time with him and let him know that he appreciates everything that he's done for him. There's nothing better than father/son bonding. Material gifts come and go. Special moments last a lifetime. Our parents aren't guaranteed to be on this Earth forever, so you need to value your mother AND FATHER!!!!

Just my opinion.

LG

Ms. Jag4Jag,
He already has that..... :D (Ole Bwaay couldn't live without it)

NASTYNUPE,
I agree with you.

Dtown,
You really know how to throw salt on a subject.
I was talking about "real" fathers, not baby daddy's.
I know alot of women are doing twice the work, but not
all of us are. True Fathers deserve just as much respect
from their children and their partners as Mothers.
Every Father isn't a "Dead Beat"... Keep that in mind. ;)

I had to coax this one to get it. He gets to put it in his "play room". Hee hee. I did not mind because I'm on a three week shopping spree all for me.

Since you brought this back up. :) What type of Wide Screen TV will your Husband be Getting.

:D

Don't get mad at me for speaking the truth...I calls em as I sees em. And btw, I know that every father is not a dead beat, I was only speaking from my personal experience.

Is it possible to be a "DEAD BEAT" DAD without any kids. If so then I fit that description!!

He'll have to give you the particulars. We got one early for the fight, but we did not like the grainy look on the tv...and since we get this 30-day no penalty exchange...the store will be returning to pick up this one and deliver/set up the new one... Hitachi sumthinother ...Don't quote me.

Why would I be mad at you? You see things from
a certain way because of your experiences, no arguing
that (and who can blame you?). I was just saying don't
cast that on all brothers. That's all....no anger involved.

Now come over here and give me hug...
nevermind some of these dudes may get
off on that....a handshake will do.

:swink:

I know Stormy, I feel ya....I try not to group all brothers in this category. :p

I'm kinda sensitive when it comes to this topic, I guess you've noticed that tho.

Panthro,

If that's all you want, you'd better start working on your stamina. Otherwise, you're gonna be pissed, and it'll be you OWN DAYUM FAULT!

:D

I wish I could give my dad something! :bawling:

As for my chirren's daddy, he's getting for Father's Day what I got for Mother's Day ...

lunch.

 @ stamina. Look gul, I threw an extra 1 minute and 18 seconds in there for when the young one interrupts. I'm still giving the <b>42 second thrilla'</b>. :smh:

Sperm should make your arse COOK for mother's and father's days. Sperm!? Make that woman of your'n cook <b>us</b> ~snicker~ a pot roast man. Complete w/ the taters and celery, blah blah blah.

Not ONE suggestion I could use.......c/mon guys, help a sista out.:swink:

LOL @ Panthro (Just 2 minutes, huh?):lmao:
How did you even become a daddy only having
2 minutes of shooting time.......your swimmers
must be awefully fit.

My Da is a minister so to go against his normal attire, he said he wanted 5 pair of jeans.
Today as I was shopping for the jeans, he called on my cell and said just give him a check with zeros and he'd insert the number that goes before the zeroes.'
Then, he called again and said just get him 3 pair of jeans and 2 shirts.
So, being the obedient daughter that I am, I got what I wanted to get him...a pair of jean shorts with a ribbed V-neck T-Shirt, a pair of cargo shorts and a casual, kicking it shirt, and a pair of blue jeans with a regular camp shirt. It's not what he would buy, but it's what I want to see him in as far as casual wear goes, for a man that has to look tight since he has the most wonderful daughter in the world that if it weren't for her being his daughter, he wouldn't be a da.

I'm not getting him a card. He's my best friend and I tell him that all year long. I'll give him a big hug and a kiss. He reminds me so often that I'm still a "little girl". I love my Da.

So, just ask your hubby what he wants and add or delete from it to make it what you want it to be.
