Fasting and Praying works...

I recently was experiencing a period of T&T... I've been praying for a better job for the longest... I also was praying about another issue as well. Well just the other day I decided to spend some more time with the "Boss" (God) ... I completed my fast on friday morning (6-8-01) Just a few hours later I received a job .. The thing is I wasn't looking for this job at the time.

Praise God
 
I'm still praying on the other issue but I know tha God will take care of it for me... Keep praying for me ...

Praise God!!! But remember, we shouldn't only fast and pray when we have troubles. Just think...if he answers us on a bad day...what would a good day be like...Hallelujah (sp)!!!
 
well swac-pagers i wanna ask you all for a prayer for my mother. she has been ill. she is a work-a-holic and i know her body is tired. she is so busy trying to help everyone that she forgets to help herself. i know that she is doing a good thing, but i would like to keep her for those good ol years. how can i get her to realize that she needs to just sit down and enjoy life. i know that she has earned her place in Heaven, she is as sweet as they come. i am not trying to be selfish, just concerned. so if you can...slide in a lil prayer for me too.
 
Eminent...question...is your Mother happy? If she is happy then let her do her thang. She might be waiting for the eternal rest.

she seems to be happy, but she has been doing this for so long that i think that it is more routine than pleasure.
 
Eminent do you all ever go on family outings? Trips? Vacations? Begin planning weekends together but make it out of state. That could open up the "I need to enjoy life more" for her.
 
we keep an outing going on. my mom has 12 sibs and all of us are extremely close. at an outing my mom is full of energy, but by the middle of the day, she is burned out, and i know that it is because she had not gotten enough rest the day before. it is not that i want her to get out because she does that, i just want her to rest, chill out, get lazy if only for one day. the only people in the house is pops and my lil sis, and they are rarely there, but she still finds a reason to tear the house down and clean it back up. she is a true work-a-holic and her work is never done.
