Okay I will leave Vick alone.
I dont think he is a bad brother. Im just sick of "US" being in the media for negative things.
The biggest stories right now are BONDS (he's innocent), VICK, Pacman, Henry etc etc.


Hell the Urban Leagues National Convention is in St. Louis with a host of prominant Black men but no one ever hears about that.
I met Steve Harvey and Nephew Tommy this morning......that should have atleast been on ESPN2 or Deportes.

The same media is what have you brain washed. The African American community is doing many great things and has come a long way, but the work isn't finish. The media has and will always focus on the most negative aspect of the black community. If you continue to allow the media to determine your opinion of who you are you will always have a negative opinion of the African American community. You can't find another ethic group that considers anything centric to their community as Ghetto (negative). White Conservative American loves you.

Vick's cousin that lives in the house is the idiot. The police are whatever was on his cousin trail for selling dope or whatever before this dog thang came to light. I understand that when they knocked on the door to serve a search warrant of the home for dope; the cousin answered the door and said that there was know drugs to be found, and that all they do there is fight dogs; now tell me how stupid Vick cousin is for sayin that shatt?

It does not work that way. I've been a large media outlets and small ones. Not all members of the media are out to bring down black folks.

The media does not care what race you are. The only objective is to get a story. Now I know some go way too far to get that story, but not every member of the media is the same.

The majority could care less about bringing us down, if you look and see the focus has shifted on Latin Americans now. The majority suspects every one that speaks Spanish is an illegal immigrant. I've interviewed Latin Americans and the majority. It's a verbal and poltical war when it comes to the immigration issues in the United States.

You can't say a large majority of the media does this when you have not observed the coverage of every news outlet in the nation.

I know the cable networks are a large part of coverage because they are on 24/7, but you can't paint a broad brush like that around every one.

I was not implying that the media is against Latin Americans either. I was saying ignorant white folk are somewhat harsh toward Latin Americans and their comments are portrayed through the media.

We have a whole message board-like page in our paper where residents (85-90 white) have the opportunity to speak out on any issue that relates to the county. And every day the majority of comments are issued toward the immigration issue and why are we doing so many stories about Latin Americans.
