I'll be the first to say Im sorry I let BD take me there.. This is a real issue.. and all he want to do is crack jokes..

I wish I would have got into this debate earlier. This has to be the most baffling comments on this thread. I mean the "PEOPLE" just voted the republicans out of office. Pres. Obama and the Dems ran and promoted Health Care reform during the campaign and the majority of the "PEOPLE" voted for them. That has to mean something.

The people voted for anything but another BUSH, we all know that. It wasn't like Obama came in with these block buster credentials, let's be real about. Change meant a lot of things to people especially our people... race was a part of it... This is a far more open minded society than it was in the past, Bush pissed enough of his own people off with the war to where getting the first black president or female president was VERY possible! And it happened!


The "People" voted for that, and change from an arrogant war hungry president.... That played a huge role in this past election.
BUT, let's not confuse the people voting for that and WANTING what ever Obama or the Democrats in Washington is trying to force on ALL of us...
I KNOW a lot of people that voted for Obama that DON'T want this... It's a gain of independents that voted for Obama who don't want this BILL as it is sitting in the house right now... Obama overall Approval reflects the entire country.. And the approval on this Health Care Bill is rather low. So how can you say, because the PEOPLE voted for OBAMA, the PEOPLE want this bill that Obama is still dancing around with?

And if you watch the history of how these parties operate in Washington.. That comment may sound baffling, but it ain't. Ain't SHYT the republicans can do to STOP what ever Obama and the Dems want to do... (That's dangerous for the people, it's dangerous even when it's like that when it is a Repub pres. and house majority) But the dems are filibuster proof right now....

The Repubs can all say NAY and this bill will get passed if enough of the DEMS vote for it. This is why the PEOPLE are so HARD on the DEMS at these townhall, because the people know how much we are at the mercy of this administration.
So our only card in this is to assure them we will kick them out of office if our government betray us and give us a bill we don't want..
This is why people are saying SLOW the fug down and get this bill right and don't try to push no curve balls on us..
