Do the right thing Duer

It is not the correct thing to do. JSU had to sit out of the SCG, why should SU get a pass? Fair is fair.

I hope the NCAA grants the waiver just so I can see the mess it will create when Duer makes a decision either way. :smh:

Oh but let me not bash the SWAC leaders too bad for that dumb ass decision/vote that was made.

It's called SULogic....shit never makes sense.

It actually does make sense...if the NCAA grants a waiver...then is there a ban still in place? If a ban is no longer in place then why would the SWAC not allow SU to play?

:noidea:

Y'all know this is really who the SWAC commissioner is...since the SWAC is already Bizarroworld....

Nope, that decision has already been made. Get over it and work to lessen the chances of it happening again.

:smh::smh:

Nope... Let's be Consistent. JSU was banned from the "postseason" SCG so SU and GSU has to deal with the consequences of our APR issues as well.

Okay the difference in all of this is that the football post ban was given by the SWAC Conference & presidents (although it they would have been ban if we were in a playoff system)...as for basketball, Southern you all knew this happen 8 months ago and no one bother to submit a waiver until "Oh snap we have a pretty good basketball team I think we should now try to do something to get back into tournament"now...Well guess what the Conference still voted you out of the Conference tournament and without that you still in the same place...Someone with real knowledge correct me if I am wrong on this situation.

Consistency??? Last march JSU received a waiver from the NCAA.

Your initial post said "Duer Sharp" the SWAC Commissioner who DID NOT grant the waiver... SU sits this one out like JSU did in football. Grambling lost our top returning player and a promising freshman from last
season because of the ANNOUNCED APR Ban ruling!

If it was a BCS school, they would be allowed to play. Oh well. If they don't grant the waiver, that is fine but it goes to show you. The bone heads who gave Spivery an extension after winning with Grant players should be shot.

IF IF IF IF IF..... IF you had passed APR you wouldnt be in this situation right?

Funny but if a player is kicked off the team and leave, will that count against your APR score? Because that has happened numerous of times with Spivery.

This stuff is amazing at best. The fallout would be to great. When did they move to tournament to Arlington?

Once a player signs a schollie, his APR graduation clock starts ticking for that school and sport. He can transfer to LSU and graduate but that won't do shat for the school that signed him to a schollie first. He will count in the total when his 4 years are up.

That is what happened to us. A few didn't go to class, Players got ran off before they graduated, and too many JUCOs/Transfers were comming in, using up their 2 years of playing time, and then leave campus without graduating.

Another brain numbing move by the SWAC. When they decided to look at new locations, they jump over every SWAC city to a city that don't gas about college sports unless it has TEXAS, TEXAS A@M, Baylor, or SMU labeled on it somewhere. You know they ain't gonna support the SWAC in Arlington.
