Deeeeep In The Delta.....
Not shocked by this at all. Surprised we even had enough players to field a team to start the season after the off-season turmoil.

Like Devilettes basketball, 1/2 the team hit the portal but unlike basketball, the soccer team doesn't have an experienced coach who can recruit. Nobody wanted to play for her.

Oh yeah. The doofus president took scholarships from soccer and basketball and gave them to the band

It's bad at Valley

Hakim built up the scholarships that allowed the soccer team to have a full team last year. That was completely undone in 1 off-season
 
Don't be surprised to hear something from volleyball is all I am gonna say right now.

The smoke from the soccer news could turn into a full blaze if the volleyball news is true

It was the team that refused to play the season because they didn't wanna play with random people that didn't know the game needed to play at the D1 level because they had scholarships taken from them and given to football

Just a #FriendlyReminder that just last year, Valley sports were maxed out or close to it thanks to Hakim.
 
Do they need to pull a Miami and just shut down everything until they get right like Miami did with their basketball team? Hopefully not for 10 years like they did.
 
I wonder will all this cause an issue with the NCAA over title 9.

The doofus president did because he was doing too well. He had his frat be a figurehead AD to undo everything Hakim did in 2 years to get to where are now when he wasn't good at his main job

And he then went out and hired a AD who got ran off from Delaware State

And everything has yet to come out.

Remember that Wade got fired for the weekly SWAC coaches interview that you can go on YouTube and see for yourself in which he said the administration needs to support football. He said that because Briggs ordered the Scholarships of graduating seniors be taken to cover the deficit caused by the growth of the band. He fired him for saying that


Oh yeah. We know who got caught up in the gambling ring at Valley but I'll save that for when everything comes out (which I hope will be within the next week hopefully. New information is being added every time I talk to my plug/friend lol)
 
I'm sorry but I really don't think the swac should keep Mississippi Valley State in the conference.
 
You would think Valley could call Trump for some Band money since they were entertaining him for the inauguration....(just thinking out loud):)
Tater Tot (Govenor) put out the Trump dog whistle to help raise that Inauguration money in less than a week...

Too bad no one PAYS you for what you think concerning SWAC affairs

The SWAC commissioner (a PV alum) said if PV (an original SWAC member in 1920) didn't get kicked out of the SWAC for playing football for years without any scholarships, then neither will Valley or UAPB since people always bring up those 2 schools.

Without naming names, I KNOW schools in the SWAC that competed in a sport with student athletes with ZERO scholarships within the past 5-6 years so if you ain't beating the drum for their removal then please STHU

Like I have said on here and on Facebook, please KTSE when everything comes out because it's gonna expose how just in the past 15 months how the president and a handful of others have systematically undone all the strides done by Hakim and doing everything to not only kill athletics (blatant Title IX violations, etc) but the university as a whole (firing ANOTHER admissions director recently and Bonds assuming that role again)

It's public knowledge how NO ONE at Valley wanted to do it except for the Republican president and band director (which if you go by this thread are the 2 main characters in everything going on at Valley right now)

And as I have said before, SWAC bands have done Inaugurations for literal war criminals but somehow 🦝🦝🦝 are attacking college students young enough to be their children for a decision they had no say so in.

Bands are the largest ambassadors at HBCUs

It is too bad that I don't get paid for that.
I am not against Mississippi Valley I am completely on your side. But what I'm looking at is a university that may have 2,500 students and an athletic budget of less than 4 million trying to be division one on the low end. Even when Prairie View was losing football games at an enormous pace and amount, other sports still were able to compete. Nothing is competing at Valley primarily because of funding.
If Valley were transported to the siac they still would be number five or six in enrollment and athletic budgeting.

You do know that when you take scholarships from women's sports (soccer, volleyball, softball) and give them to men's sports (football), those are clear cut Title IX violations

No school worth their salt takes scholarships from athletics and gives it to the band

When everything eventually comes out, it will be clear as day how soccer got cut (with more possibly coming due to mismanagement and unethical/illegal moves).

And trying to use the "when was the last time Valley was competitive in anything" argument is dumb as hell when 🏀 made the SWAC tournament under an interim coach in 2025. Hell ⚽️ made the SWAC tournament under an interim coach just last year
