I understand what you are saying, and Lord knows your point is well taken. To be honest, when I first read that Jeffries had met with Kushner, I had the exact same reaction as you did. But the more I thought about it, in politics and diplomatic situations, sometimes you talk to people that you don't necessary like or agree with.

If the Democrats win back the House, should meeting with Kushner disqualify Jefferies from being Speaker? I don't think it should disqualify him. But that is just my opinion.

If the DEMs win the house back emotions will have to set to the side. Yelling Trump did this, Trump did that will not work. Unlike MAGA the Dems have 30 different sides. Dumb Donald will still be president and back door deals will have to happen to show he can lead. Donnie boy will grand stand and veto everything so it will be like Clinton who made deals.

Here is my issue with that.

Harris got railed for talking to Liz Cheney.

YET Talarico HIRED a GOP (who worked for the man Paxton beat for the nomination) to be on his election team. What do we hear? CRICKETS.

I GET Jeffries and what he might be doing as others have pointed out but I find it FUNNY the two black folks that talk to GOP are getting attacked for it. While the white one does not.

Dems as stated earlier got way more than 30 sides to deal with. You got educated black folks, ignorant black folks, Dearbon Mich crew, Garza crew and more to deal with. Who act like Dems have magic wands and can do anything. Sorry they have to get votes for bills like everyone else.

Jeffries is NOT going to shutdown the House like Johnson does. He KNOWS he can not present to all those DEM sides a House that only passes ONE bill and that is it to those 30+ sides. And been on vacation for more than 30+ days.

DEMS would get wiped out and I would bet a lot of those seats would won by third parties more than GOP.

Harris attempted to use Cheney as a campaign ally to attract the never-Trumpers and independents despite Cheney KNOWLINGLY supporting Trump legislatively. They were at Harris campaign events together. It was more than just talking. Harris deserved criticism for that.
