I remember back in the 80's, that this little backwood school out of Thibodeaux decided to play some football in the SWAC. Well, in order for their players to feel comfortable, they decided to play a team who's players name, skin tone, and abilities were in line with their own. For about 18 years, these teams played every year during the end of November and I'm sad to say that the team from Thibodeaux went through these yella boys like isht thru a goose. It was imbarassing.

These redneck/backwooders got so carried away (during the 80's) that they even decided to play a real Black College Football team from the northern part of the boot. Bad decision! Trumaine Johnson, Albert Lewis, Robert Smith, and others got pro contracts from the way we kicked azz! The swamp boys quickly realized that they weren't ready for a team with tradition so they resumed their series with the yella boys of BCF. Yup, true to form they kicked Cass's azz, Otis's azz, Marino's azz and Bumpy's ...er I mean Pete's azz (Freudian slip). They whupped sooo much yella booty that they mistakenly thought they were ready for the men from North La. WRONG! Got their azz handed to them again.

Now, I understand they have arranged another date with their favorite prom girls. I hope these yella booties don't imbarass the SWAC again...I think they sked of these swamp boys. :eek2:

we straight up handled Nicholls State the last time we played them. You guys kinda struggled with them. Go figure!

Maybe they wanted to play a team with a complete package THIS year since last year they proved they could compete with you. We'll see.
 
Mike Bigg, is this the team that had BlackTop at QB, Shine at Tailback and Shoe Leather as a wide receiver?
 
MikeB, I notice that when your football program was in decline your women bball program was in top form. Can you check and see did some of the football players swtich to women basketball?

THIBODAUX, La. ? A late September trip to Baton Rouge for a contest with Southern University highlights the 2002 Nicholls State University football schedule released today by Colonel athletics director Rob Bernardi.



The Colonels and Jaguars will be renewing an 18-season rivalry at Mumford Stadium on Sept. 28. The two schools met annually from 1981 to 1997 with Nicholls State owning a 12-6 series edge

?We are extremely pleased to have Southern back on our football schedule,? Bernardi said. ?For 18 years our schools staged an exciting rivalry which captured the attention of football fans in south Louisiana and throughout the region. I am glad that we are able to restart the rivalry not only for our players and coaches but for our supporters.?

A better question would be to ask did your "she-male" basketball players switch to football. The little yella beeches tackled (at least tried) like girls. Dem yella boys got more Sugar in their tank than an Iberville Sugar Mill.

I can't wait to see what yall gonna do when Quitney "Brite Boy" Reeeshard gets drilled in the dome. (I mean drilled as in being tackled)

Now if you wanna REALLY know what all that is tellin' me, is that ya'll try to play Nicholls State when they are shoe-ins for the Southland Conference Cellar!!! We handled them the LAST TIME we played them. They pretty much conceded the game at the end! I don't think that happened in your case.

Face it! Ya'll try to pick and choose teams when they are not at top form to play them. FAMU...you played them when? Nicholls State was a powerhouse last year....yuk, yuk!

Hampton? NCA&T? How about Howard? When did you all ever play anyone outside of the SWAC in the last 10 years that was ranked in the top 12 and beat them? Better yet...top25? Portland State wasn't a true top 25 team so don't EVEN go runnin' with those folks. Dayum near lost that game, anyway.

.........Hey JD, don't try to change the topic......the thread is about Deja Vu(in relation to how those boys own the series record). I understand how some of you don't like to face reality especially when it comes from the G-MEN.......anyway I'll stay with the subject at hand(after addressing some of your comments).

..........When we played FAMU(2000) they won the MEAC that year. When we played Portland they were a ranked I-AA team..... and as for Nicholls, they may not have been at the top of the conference, however, we still overcame playing them in Thibodaux(which is an accomplishment in itself after seeing how other teams usually leave with a LOSS)......Before GRAMBLING played them they had won seven(7) games in a row against SWAC opponents dating back to 1983.........TELL ME WHEN "su" PLAYED THEM EACH YEAR THEY WERE RANKED????????

..........You can talk all of that smoke-filled, coffee shop bull---- and practice on one the other SWAC fans......don't try to "bs" me and expect me to respond to your nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!

...........On your last comment"Beat a REAL team, etc.".......I hope you are not saying that we played "su"(2001) when they were not a "REAL" team 'cause if you are, those are your words and not mine......REMEMBER a WIN is a W-I-N....1 point or 10 points so don't try to diminish the BACK TO BACK Championship season of the ICON of BCF.........you can put that in your pipe & smoke it

Get your facts straight. In Pete's first season SU was 11-1 with the 1 being a loss to 2-9 Nicholls (in BR). When GSU beat FAMU in Indy two seasons ago, FAMU entered the game ranked #1 in BCF.
When we played Portland State in Portland, they were ranked in the top 25. It's not our fault that teams ranked high get exposed when they play us.

To be honest, Portland State was the best team we played last year...It might have been your azz that came on in the pre-season telling us to beware. It might have been you, but I can't be sure...all yall yellas look alike!
