DEAR ROBERT VOWELS

Chris lineman aren't at fault....its the TSU players fault for harassing Chris and its Chris fault for reacting when he knew that he had a lot on the line. Yeah he shouldn't have reacted to it and just told the refs but sometimes out there on the field you just have to go against being kindhearted, humble etc, etc and fight back.

Bruh, I'm a former QB. My linemen would've damn near died for me when required. And some of them still have this attitude to this very day (like I need a protector or something). :emlaugh:

O-linemen TRUST the QB to engineer the offense and make it go! The QB has to TRUST that the o-linemen will go to war for him and protect him in <b>all</b> situations.

Sorry TWIN , The "The King" thorughly agrees with Panthro. Not that it was
the "fault" of the lineman BUT if there was anyone to be kicked out of the
game for "fighting" it should have been someone from among those assigned
to "protect" the quarterbak and not the QB himself.

Tell me when on any level was the last time you saw a QB kicked out of
a game for fighting? Because that is the job of the Soldiers to protect
the General.

That is just it. What ref throws out a candidate for offensive player of the year whose team has secured a spot in the Championship game in the last game of the regular season and his team is winning, not to mention the QB has thrown for 250 yards. I guess he thought Chris just wasn't satisfied with his performance so he just stole on a MF.

You're kidding, right?

I am so sick of reading this sh**!!!!!!!! CHOICES PEOPLE CHOICES so if you make the wrong one then deal with the consequences don't nobody care about POTY (possibly), and his arse being in the SCG. There are no perfect people but he made that decision so DEAL WITH IT........

Since Bright does have prior affiliations with AAMU (on more than one occassion), and if he had anything to do with making a final subjective decision, it is NOT even handed and wreaks buffoonery. However, I don't have all of the facts and am not sure what the total circumstances are. I sure hope Vowels was not stupid enough to put the decision in Bright's hands (hard for me to believe he would). Again, I am not condemning either one (Bright or Vowels) yet becasue all of the facts are not in front of me. However, I am interested in documentation exhibiting how the decision was derived.

Say Sprem, by your reasoning Charlie White shouldnt have been expelled from school and kicked off JSU's basketball squad, cause he was Mr. Highschool Basketball and he would have made a major impact this year for us. What kinda of President of a University would expell a major contributor to their basketball program?

If you are sick of it, don't continue to read it... Its being dealt with. Worry about your 2nd meaningless game in a row this weekend. Oh, you forgot GSU has a game, well I'm reminding you.

#1, you can't buck the rules. It's an NCAA rule to handle expulsion. Plan and simple. Been there done that.

#2, those linemen (at least ONE - mainly the CENTER since Chris is always touching his nutts!) should've been the FIRST one(s) to open up some whoop arse on a defender! Period.

Man, I used to get chills going down my spine when one of my former big "uglies" would turn to me as we exited the huddle and say something like <b>"Slick Rick! Ain't NOT one of dese muthaphuggas gonna' touch you before you get in the endzone! And if one does, I'mma kill his ass! I F'N guarantee you that!"</b> And these crazy SOBs really meant that (ala the mild major skirmish amongst us w/ ***** back in the day lol).

Even now, for whatever reason, quite a few of those same BIG guys are sheriff's deputies in my home county. I talk to them frequently when I return home and they STILL in that "protect Rick" mode. lol Always questioning me is somebody giving me issue? Trouble? Concern? How they can "handle it." Anybody *F* w/ you, call me and let me know!

Man, I wanna' coach sooooooooooooooooo bad. lol I know how this isht s'posed to go. lol Damn! :smh:

WDF is Charlie White? I have no clue to who you are talking about. I live in Texas.

Secondly, if Mr. HighSchool Basketball for MS was on the team at JSU, he was bound to be expelled. That lets you know he is not capable of making wise decisions. Good move by your President, I wouldn't want that idiot at my school either.

OK, all I want to know it 1 fact, did the lil dude take a swing at someone or not. Real simple. (and if so, did he get his "money" worth or was it a little sissy slap)

That is the rule, but the rule has an exception which lets the commish decide if the ruling should stand. I knew it wasn't going to be overturned. The commish should have handed his ruling down sooner for the sake of BOTH TEAMS. I mean, it is the championship game, right?

Now, this would be the same JSU basketball team that hangs their feet up that little hind part of you alls.

damn!

Man, the only thing worse that SWAC football is SWAC basketball. I can deal with the football to an extent (I even watched a little of the BC this year, but eventually tuned into the other games), but there is no way I can watch SWAC basketball. So if JSU hung their foot up UAPB arse in basketball, well you know, what can I say.

I thought UAPB was in the SCG in basketball last year against SU. UAPB must have put their foot in somebody.

Looks like the Commish did the right thing:

SECTION 5. Fighting
ARTICLE 1. a. Before the game, squad members in uniform or coaches
shall not participate in a fight (Rule 2-32-1).
During the first half, players shall not participate in a fight.
PENALTY?15 yards from the basic spot or the succeeding spot, first
down for Team B fouls if the first down is not in conflict
with other rules, and disqualification for the remainder of
the game [S7, S27 or S38, and S47].
b. During the half-time intermission, squad members in uniform or coaches
shall not participate in a fight.
During the second half, players shall not participate in a fight.
PENALTY?15 yards from the basic spot or the succeeding spot, first
down for Team B fouls if the first down is not in conflict
with other rules, and disqualification for the remainder of
the game and the first half of the next game [S7, S27 or S38,
and S47]. For fights that occur in the last game of a season,
squad members in uniform, coaches and players with
eligibility remaining will serve fight-related suspensions
during the first game of the next season for which they are
eligible.

Why all the hate on Vowels if he just followed the rules?? I know this is UAPB's once in 100 years chance of winning and all, but the rules are the rules.

UAPB challenged the ruling because they have the right to do so because the suspension can be uplifted by the conference. The rules are the rules, not a problem. However, why is it this conference has to drag ass when it comes to making a decision to a protest? As I'm reminded, the conference took it dear sweet time on a similiar issue in baseball a couple years ago.

Maybe the conference does not have a VCR or DVD player and TV. Who knows.

In my opinion, UAPB has to str8 whip azz anyway, because if the game is a game, the cards are stacked against UAPB.

You're right about the conference dragging, but it looks like this has been a forgone conclusion for some time. There's no real reason I can see to uplift the suspension. I'm sure Forte has been preparing as if Wallace wasn't going to play.

Either way, yall should beat A&M without Wallace for a half. The game should be close enough at halftime.

Ok Sperm... when did the ruling get challenged?

Don't know what time the challenged began exactly. It doesn't matter at this point.

I'm sure that would not make a difference because the conference has a history of doing their job in a slow manner. For all I know UAPB didn't challenge the ruling until yesterday. Then it would be UAPBs fault, which wouldn't surprise me either.

Got a point there Sperm. I agree .... NFL guys push and shove and
knock each other around all the time after the play is over and it must be
something REALLY egregious for someone to be kicked out of a game.
Let alone kicking out a Payton Manning or even a Rex Grossman, or hell
even a Babe Lofenburg. "The King"
