Man, these Alcorn folks need to hush. I KNOW that schitt that goes on out there. I went to church in Fayette a few weeks ago and this lady got up in church and thanked the Lord for saving her from an Alcorn security guard who tried to rape her. Yep, I said security guard. So don't get it twisted. Many things go on down that stretch! :lol:

Got a question for the Alcorn folks, is there a picture of Governor, Alcorn on campus? The only reason I can't say too much about Alcorn, is due to my distant ties. My great grandfather, attend the school back in the 1800. Only, God knows why, when he could have gone to Knoxville College or delayed his education and attended TN State.

And I have some relatives some where in Lorman. Need to find them so they can attend the next family reunion.

Anyone recall back in the late 60 or 70, Alcorn had this practice field locate on the back 40 and they would practice almost year round.

They have upgraded that area and use it for student activities now....

But how do you compare your 150 acres of cookie-cutter match boxes, situated dead-smack in the middle of one of the most least desirable neighborhoods in the City of Jackson.......to a campus with over 1700 acres of lush green grass on rolling hills, giant oak trees, with it's very own Historic strip of architecture, and fresh water lakes?

The answer? You can't. Why don't you get yourselves ready to be introduced to or reaffirmed on what a real college campus is. Bring it. You shall be shown how to create a real atmosphere for hosting a classic football game. After you lose this game, at least you can walk away with some valuable tools to orchestrate the game for next year in your hood town. Ratt? :D In closing and on behalf of the illustrious alumni family, we welcome you to Thee Alcorn State University.....the place where both love and peace set the standard. The greatest university I know..........ooooooooo' I adore thee!

I can answer that question for you. Your great grandfather wanted a top notch education and found the one school that could give it to him during that time. You should have strongly considered following his footsteps. I bet he left Alcorn and accomplished some great things like most of us Alcornites do. What is his name, if you don't mind me asking?

The students broke out into a big riot on their campus during homecoming THIS year. Ambulances had to come save a few students.
And girls get raped on that campus all time. Blame the PG & Fayette thugs? Nobody knows.
Them injuns ain't fooling nobody.

They don't know how to act when attention is finally turned to them once a football season.

His name was Squire (Esquire) Hayes (Hays), from Kerrville / Arlington, TN. I am thinking he majored in Human Reproduction, because he was the father of 13 or 14 known children, maybe it's fifteen and married three times. The other relatives in the area surname is Hood.
