When Isiah busted the Laker's azz with that sprained ankle in the playoffs has any performance that Kobe has had with an injury faded. Man that Flu game Jordan played should not be mentioned in the same breath as Kobe. You all need leave boy alone, he still dealin' with the fact that he is black. He found out the hard way that all "p" ain't the same color.

I agree...

But Kobe's performance playing hurt was very significant because Shaq was at his best ever and when he fouled out it looked bleak. Everyone knew Kobe was hurt so the game was basically chalked up as a loss until the 21 year old stepped up and put the dagger in.

Shaq leaving the Lakers, not only left them without a true leader, and out in the playoff cold, but left KoMe out to dry.

No Shaq - No first team all NBA for KoMe (made 3rd team)

No Shaq - For all of KoMe's crying, he couldn't even win the scoring title
No Shaq - The Lakers aren't even a .500 club, but that's not surprising. Even with a championship caliber team that "supposedly" KoMe carried, and with Phil Jackson as the coach, the Lakers went 12-18 over the past 2 years in the 30 games that Shaq missed, and with KoMe at the helm. GR expects so much more from you. This analysis has to be the simplest crap GR has ever heard. From some of your writings in the past, TGO knows that you are smarter and more analytical than this.

Kobe had the Lakers in the playoffs, IN THE WEST, with a brand new team until he got a significant ankle injury. On top of that, his coach quit....remember...Kobe game Rudy cancer.

Secondly....and GR doesnt know why he has to go thru this with you....this is so disappointing. Shaq is a force and the Lakers was around him when he was there. When he got injured, which was often, the team suffered because of the structure of the team.

The simple fact is that Dewayne Fade is no Kobe. Fade gave out after beating the Wizards and the Nets. Kobe dominated real teams like the Kings, the Spurs and Portland making some of the top defensive players in the lleague look bad....poor Chrisitie and Bowen. And you compared Kobe to Penny? GR is surprised he even responded to this crap.

GR keeps asking you this question cause again, his theory has proven true. GR told you that KOBE is the man that took the Lakers to all those finals cause he almost single handedly defeated the Spurs, Kings, Jazz, and Trailblazers all by himself. When they got to the finals, the east didnt have an answer for Shaq, so KOBE LET Shaq take over.

Now you are over here qualifying great players by "finals" MVPs. The criteria use to be MVPs, but GR is sure you know that Garnett, Iverson, and even Nash are flash in the pan losers that could never show up and win when it counted.

TGO proves to be all knowing again. The next time GR is wrong, it will be the first time.

Because Fade let the team down when they needed him to take over. Shaq can not carry a team, like GR has been saying all along, so it was Fades duty to take over in the 4th. You cant pass the ball to Shaq late in a close game because he is a huge liability. So what did Fade do when it counted most? Not against the Wiz....not against the Nets....but to go to the NBA finals?
