Apparently, during your "travelled" you didnt attend alot of HBCU football games. It's common for both team to play thier school song at the same time. Just dont try to drown out the other band.

Maybe I missed something but I thought the visiting band played their Alma Mater first FOLOWED by the home band. I didn't think that they played them at the same time. That seems kind of rude to me.
