Darren Wilson changed crucial elements in story

Quit trying to spin it media boy... doesn't work with me...

We have come very far... thank the MLK's and countless others for that... but the countless protesters, marches and other stuff ain't changing YT's mind today.... That is all.... Keep it on topic media dude....

Keep on topic?

YOU came in this thread regarding reports that Darren Wilson's testimony might have been inconsistent talking sagging pants and the criminality of hoodies. Dude please!

YOU have the nerve to tell somebody to stay on topic on a thread YOU derailed?

SERIOUSLY?!

Oh, so we should just stop demanding to be treated humanely?

But we should dress a certain way to conform?

You are confused and filled with so much self-hate that it's sad. Just sad.
Apparently we should sad we think this way

"It is a marked discrepancy from Wilson's admission minutes after the shooting that he had no knowledge of that incident. In the time between that denial and this detailed recollection of the suspect's description and goods stolen, Wilson had driven himself back to Ferguson Police Department Headquarters on the city's Main Street.
He had washed his hands clean of any blood and he had been permitted to bag up his own gun as evidence - acts entirely contrary to St Louis County procedure."

C'mon Son...:shame:

Folks knew about this last week SS. Don't matter though. George H. W Bush had the Justice Dept. go after the police who whupped Rodney King after the jury let all those officers go. You think Obama gonna do the same thing for MB?

It doesn't matter how we dress because we will continue to be stereotyped in this current environment. To even insinuate that I can not and should not wear a hoodie because it may scare white people is more of a slap in the face coming from a black man then some hillibillie telling me that he doesn't like me.

Something to think about....in the 50s and 60s MLK advocated nonviolent protest, while it gained us some ground, it did not change the stereotype. In every picture of see of marches, sit ins, protests, etc from that era....everyone of those people were dressed respectfully. Heck even Malcolm X wore a suit and tie with his violent self.

The moment we stop demanding to be treated fairly without being stereotype and just conform to not scare white people....that my friend will be death of us all.

Yall quick to condemn Charles Barkley, Pharrell, Hell even Kobe with the Trayvon incident about personal responsibility, but don't see how the Al Sharptons and Ben Crumps of the world are jacking yall over. You really think they care about Blacks? Don't let that Civil Rights stuff fool you. They just like any celebrity, wanting to stay relevant in a new culture.... and yall falling for it....

Um...isn't Charles Barkley the guy who would whup folk's butt in bars, and was arrested not that long ago with a call girl? Didn't Kobe almost get sent up the river for sexual assault? I don't know anything about Pharrell except that he wears dumb hats and the Native American folks got on him for that head dress he wore on a magazine cover. You think these guys are models of personal responsibility?

No, wearing a hoodie with your pants sagging in a middle class neighborhood that has had previous break ins and are actively looking for a culprit is incriminating...

Trayvon was wearing SKINNY jeans and not sagging unless Zimmerman pulled up his pants after he killed him.

If sagging and hoodies gets you killed well there would be a ton of DEAD white skater boys in this country. Just like the white boy in Utah that got killed by cops recently.

Oh the reason why you don't hear more about stories of decent dress guys getting killed by cops is because our media knows that won't get the outrage that a Pookie looking black kid will bring.

Let me write this down. " Black men can't wear certain types of clothing because it scares white people and uncle Toms. Got it!

Anything else?

Hush Kenderick.........

Also, Trayvon was there visiting his father and stepmother; while he may have been a face unfamiliar to that wannabe cop Zimmerman, he had a legitimate reason for being in the neigborhood. You posted that if Trayvon had dressed like Carlton Banks he would be alive. No. If Zimmerman would have asked if Trayvon lived there or if he was visiting a relative/family, Trayvon would still be living. That hoodie was absolutely no justification for Zimmerman to murder Trayvon. You just proved my point when you posted "Martin's choice of dress added to the fact that he was stereotyped". That's why Trayvon was murdered, no rhyme, no reason, no rationale, just pure old false negativ stereotype.

And lets not forget if Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch guy wouldn't he KNOW the families in his community?

If Dad and Stepmother lived there wouldn't Zimmerman had introduced himself to the family? Eventually meeting Trayvon? Somewhere before all this those two would have met.

And lets not forget who helped vilify Trayvon? Zimmerman's brother who compared him to a killer in Chicago.

Now in this case I see what you are saying, however if you came to that same car dealership with your pants sagging, golds in your mouth and baggy dress, they probably would have called the cops on you as soon as you flashed the cash. All I'm saying is stereotyping, racism, classism, sexism, and any other ism you can think of is here, and it's not going to change.... You have to adapt and conform... Isn't all this explained in the Good Book??? Just saying we shouldn't feed into it that's all

No the issue is every black male who sags gets lumped in as a thug no matter what. Not every kid who sags is a thug. The problem is when that certain look is constantly showcase as the cause of every single crime-you end up getting everyone that dresses like that lumped in as the same.

Now the point everyone is making is it doesn't matter how we dress what happen to Mike Brown and Trayvon can happen to ANYONE. Even white boys-yet those stories get tucked away in the back page of the paper because that doesn't get ratings or enforce stereotypes.

We have had 10 white boys killed by cops here in Dallas and were dressed like Mike Brown-yet no one had blamed the way they dressed for their deaths.

Hey you go listen to this guy & applaud him. I'm sure you'd agree

So you are saying we have to be passive and make white folks accept us by being kind and play ourselves down?

How did I not conform? What societal norm was I deviating from? You are contradicting yourself right now. I also did not "flash cash", I counted it out like a "normal" person. How far should we conform to society? And speaking of the bible, we should be "in this world and not of it" so once again how far should we conform?

that's exactly what he's saying. Basically he wants us to do this

I should have followed my mind in the first place and not posted on this topic.... I understand that my feelings may not sit well with people on this board, or the African-American community. But to be called a "Uncle Tom" (Which I stupidly fell into) is below the belt, as my comments toward Kendrick calling him a right wing MSNBC. I, Like others may have different views on religion, current affiars, and other matters however that does not give the right to resort to name calling and other juvenile behavior. My initial post on this matter was to bring light to the released testimony of persons that saw this killing happen, and to judge based on the evidence presented thereof. I allowed myself to get caught up in personal emotions and may have had my printed words taken out of context.

As a graduate of Southern University Lab School and product of the Northdale Community in B.R, I know first hand the struggles that African-Americans face in this day and age. I also have been victim of 3 break ins of my mothers home while a youth, and seen my mother beaten by these same intruders and the culprits not put to justice. In previous threads I have stated how my own son has been a target of racism in his school while in kindergarten as I type this.

So no, I am not all for YT, however I know that this is "Modern Warfare" and the same tactics used by Dr. King and others will not bring about change. I apologise to anyone that I may have offended, however I stand by my views that we as African-Americans need to stop blaming others for our plight and stand up by having more blacks in law enforcement, and having more blacks that have our best interests in mind than those that can be easily influenced by the almighty dollar. In closing I truly want better for my people, but like the old saying goes, You can lead a horse to water.....

Bruh we all got different views. Nothing wrong with you making yours. The only way to get past issues is to discuss them. We gotta stop being passive and express our views whether I like yours or you don't like mines. Healthy discussion is needed.

You're trying to walk back what you said, huh?

I know. Just the "Uncle Tom" reference brought me back to when I first got to S.U. Lab as a 6th Grader. I was the only black in my elem. school gifted class for five years. My "proper" talk as they called it made me an outcast, bullied, and even contemplated suicide, and this ridicule came from my "own kind". I've grown and learned from it and now appreciate what I went through there, but it just hit a nerve...

You just don't get it do you.... But I am talking to the person that wrote an elaborate article on how it was smart and correct doing a QB sneak with no time outs left in the biggest game of their season....

Back to the High Road though (thanks mh)

Did I give correct thanks on the high road comment???

There is a thing called Karma.... ever heard of it? Don't you realize that all these protests are just giving these kids more ammunition to sag their pants, steal, jaywalk in the street, and other stupid stuff.

And this guy.

If he was dressed like Carlton Banks this or the Trayvon mess ouldn't have happened.

Yeah, you gets no sympathy from me.

Your words were not taken out of context, just scrutinized. You had weak arguments that were systematically intellectually destroyed. You tried to post and prove your point, yet offered no facts only your biased and weak opinions. When you were called out and had actual evidence presented to you, you ignored it. You are spouting some of the same rhetoric that Fox News offers its viewers yet you want to be taken seriously... Just admit that your views are in line with the step and fetch it ******s of the Right Wing and keep it moving...
