Without a proven Center and one that can score in the paint Dallas will never win anything. And second they got to go through Phoenix and with Stoudermoure Dallas is toast.

Mods...please move this to the smack board. This thread has all the makings of getting ugly. :mrt:

PS....Note to self...make sure I keep this thread in mind when Dallas wins it all this year. :swink:

I hate to say this, but I almost agree w/you uapbpower. They always lose the big games, against the big teams, at the wrong time. :smh:

The did beat the Suns and the Spurs in the playoffs last season and were up 2-0 against Miami in the Finals before they collapsed. Now they have the best record in the NBA. What more can they do beside win the championship. You can judge their season on a game against the Suns.

Bruh:

Why even argue with someone who's arguments is like swiss cheese? Full of holes? This is the SAME MAVS team that beat the Suns (who were chosen to win it all in 06) and the DEFENDING champs(Spurs).

For someone who starts a thread like this...all I can say is...

Here we go....

Tis better to be silent and thought of as a fool...in uapb's case...its tool late!

Uh Dude, if that is the case then Detroit should give back their title they won without a proven center( Big Ben was just a rebounding and defensive machine) against a HOF center in Shaq. Dallas only problem is will they have the intensity and the will to win the championship. If AJ can get his will instilled into every Mavs player then they will win the title period. They have to develop a killer instinct. Their center play has nothing to do with it. Hell only Miami, Houston, and San Antonio have legit center play anyway. Everybody else has PF's pretending to be centers and even Tim Duncan plays PF more than he does the center spot but he has the size to play if he has too.

hey, don't jump on me son...I'm a huge Mavs fan....especially, since they're being coached by the <font size=4>"S"</font>...I just know how they will throw a big game, at the wrong time.

Right....hopefully AJ and the Mavs got it together this year. I got a couple of co workers who drove me and a couple of us when "dawine" wade and co. won it alllast year.

No...the reason Dallas won't win is because they can't stop good guards long enough to win a series.

Phoenix can't stop guards, forwards or centers in the playoffs.
They have NO defense whatsoever. Same ole suns team equals same ole results.
San Antonio may end up putting them out if they ever meet up.

You say the Suns can't stop anyone, you should ask who can stop the Suns because they do average 110 points a game. I know once the playoffs roll around it might be a different story, but the Suns are a difficult team to defend.

Offense seldom, if any, wins ballgames. The suns are just going through the motions. They don't have that killer instinct as much as San Antonio or Dallas.

lmao....

so the suns have "just been going through the motions" all season?

man, NOBODY IN THE LEAGUE has had a great defensive game against this team the ENTIRE SEASON.

Not EBOK and LA....

Not Dallas....

Not even Detroit, arguably the best defensive team in the league...

Things are gonna be a bit stiffer in the playoffs because coaches will have the opputunity to gameplan for people better...the problem is that nobody in this league (including Dallas) has effectively gameplanned for these cats the ENTIRE SEASON...*smh*

lmao at Dude calling a 55-18 record "going through the motions" :smh:

the west is gonna be crazy because of match-ups...Nobody matches up with Phoenix as well as they could...

I guess the Suns have gone through the motions 55 times, and all that offense did not help them get a No. 2 seed in the West. Talk about not having a killer instinct, they beat the team with the best record in the NBA twice in two straight meetings. If Dallas was not playing out of their minds the Suns would be the favorite to come out of the West.

well damn......:retard:

Dallas (AP) ? The Dallas Mavericks signed 44-year-old center Kevin Willis to a 10-day contract Monday, making him the oldest active player in the NBA.

Willis has played 20 seasons with seven teams, most recently Atlanta for 29 games in 2004-05. He didn't play last season. He first joined the Hawks in 1984 and spent more than 10 seasons with the team.

Willis aint been a halfway decent player since the 80s

Hey they are a great team...as they were last year and the year before. Playoffs are different and we will see what they can do. S.A. and Dallas ain't no punk, especially in the playoffs.

All the Mavs need to do is win the home court advantage.....and all they need to do is win 4 out of the last 9 games to make that happen. There is NO team that can run with us for 7 games, our bench is too deep.

The Suns with all that high flying backwards passing circus **** will NOT make it to the Conference Finals because they don't have a bench and they will get tired around game 5 or 6 in a series....mark my words....San Antonio will put them out.

Just one man's opinion..... That's why they play the games!!!!
