Re: Daily Devotion | March 31, 2006 | Promises, Promises, Promises

Good Morning All! Happy Friday to YOU! I greet you on this beautiful morning in the wonderful and wealthy name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! This is yet another day that the Lord has made. I am rejoicing and being glad in it. This day has been ordained just for you. What will you do with it?

I trust that this email finds all doing well as I am.

Joshua 21:45- None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.

Joshua 23:14 - "I am now going the way of all the earth, and you know with all your heart and all your soul that none of the good promises the Lord your God made to you has failed. Everything was fulfilled for you; not one promise has failed.

I Kings 8:56- "May the Lord be praised! He has given rest to His people Israel according to all He has said. Not one of all the good promises He made through His servant Moses has failed.

This morning's devotional is derived from a life experience on yesterday. I share with you this morning in transparency.

Yesterday as I was traveling on the road, on my way home, a spirit of discouragement reared its ugly head. This spirit began to tell me that what God had promised me was not going to come to pass. It began to speak some really absurd, negative things regarding my future. For a quick minute, I entertained it and began to doubt, but I immediately began to speak out loud the promises that I know God has in store for me and the promises that I know He spoke.

Later that evening, after I arrived home, I received a phone call from someone whom I had not heard or seen in about (4) four years. (I thank God for His earthly messengers). Immediately, the caller began to speak life to me and reaffirmed the promises of God for my life. The caller, being totally unaware of what happened to me on the way home, began to speak what I knew to be the plans of God for my life, purpose and destiny. What an awesome confirmation received!

I say all of this to say to you today-

The promises of God are yes and amen. Whatever it is that God has promised you, it will come to pass. It does not matter how the enemy tries to invade your mind, to tear up or to disrupt in your life. The enemy will use anybody, any situation and circumstance to distract and destroy you. But I thank God on this morning that He is a man that cannot lie. If God said, then that settles the matter.

II Corinthians 1:20- For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

It shall come to pass!

It is my prayer that your weekend be filled with peace, productivity and protection!

and be glad! I am. It is another day to experience the awesomeness of
GOD, for He is truly that, awesome.

I trust that this email finds all doing well, as I am! I also trust that all had a wonderful weekend.

John 15: 13 - Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends .

Proverbs 10:22 - The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

This morning's devotional deals with you!

In your circle of friends, the company you keep , the crowds you entangle yourself with, are you celebrated or tolerated?

Do your friends celebrate who you are or do they tolerate you only for their gainful advantage?

Are the majority of your associations clouded with motives, hidden agendas or enigmatic plots?

Do you surround yourself with people who have your best interest at heart?

Do you surround yourself with people, if asked to pray for you, they could?

Do you tolerate the actions of others just to feel accepted? Are you playing a great game of masquerade?

I have stated on several occasions that true friends are rare.
Acquaintances come in dozens. In life, God places special people in our lives. They are called friends. I like to call them gifts. Friends are blessings from God, which add no sorrow with it.

One thing friendship is not, uncertain.

One thing love is not, uncertain.

One way to tell if you have a true, genuine friend is consistency.

One of the ways God measures SPIRITUAL MATURITY is by the quality of your relationships. It is not enough just to say relationships are important; we must prove it by investing time in them. Words alone are worthless.
That is why the greatest gift you can give someone is your time.

I admonish you on today to go where you are celebrated for who you are.
Surround yourself with people who encourage you to do better, to live better, and to be a better person. Surround yourself with people who can speak life to your dead situations, and who can pray for you at any time, if asked or not.

Seriously evaluate......

Are you celebrated or tolerated?

Good Morning All and Happy Tuesday to You! I greet you on today in the merciful and matchless name of Jesus Christ! What a glorious day this is to be alive. It is yet another day that you have not seen before. It is a day to rejoice and be glad! It is a day to not take granted, as this day has been ordained just for you!

I trust this email finds all doing well, as I am.

This morning, I revert back to a past devotional. The good thing about it is that it still has relevance and I sense that it will bless someone on today. It is more practical in nature, but yet spiritual in principle............

James 1: 2-3 - My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

In life we have to learn some hard lessons. Some of the lessons are very
difficult in nature, and yes, sometimes quite unpleasant. But they are
quite necessary for growth and maturity. They are necessary for your new level and the ?new thing? that GOD is birthing in your life. The hard lessons learned, the offenses, and the eye opening truths can be considered
the labor pains as you give birth and go to another level. Lessons
learned come to make you strong and to open your eyes. It would be crazy for you to have your eyes opened and continue to bump your head against the
same wall. Your eyes have been opened for a specific reason!

We experience hardship, trial, adversity, gossip, slander, and tribulation for various, specific reasons. But ultimately, we experience these hard, uncomfortable lessons so that we do not continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over again.

I do not know about you, but I thank God for the difficult, unpleasant realities of life. For without them, I would not be where I am today. I thank God for my eyes being opened to truth, whether it is regarding the
people in your life, your career or your past. What is amazing is that
no matter how the enemy tries to cover up the truth and operate in deceit, what is in the dark will always come to the light!

Your new level is on the horizon. You may have to physically walk alone to get there, but in Christ you are never spiritually alone!

I leave you with this passage from Five Short Chapters by Portia Nelson. I may have shared this with you before, but because it is so powerful, I thought I would share it with you again. Read it carefully, it speaks life??..

Chapter 1
There's a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I fall in.
I am lost.....I am helpless; it isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out

Chapter 2
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in the same place;
but it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out

Chapter 3
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in....it's a habit.
My eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.

This morning's devotional is short in nature, but huge in content!

Ephesians 3: 20-21 - Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

In speaking with several individuals regarding expectations for this year, several are expecting the immeasurable. Well, so am I, and I am crazy enough to believe that it shall be done unto all who have been faithful and obedient to God. Whatever your earnest desire(s) is, begin to dream again.
Begin to believe that it will happen for you this year. Start preparing the way. Even though it may look a little grim right now, just know that GOD put you in this place to need a miracle, so HE could perform one.

What are you believing God for?
What has God spoken to you?
What "out of the box" promise has He made to you?

Whatever it is that YOU are believing God for this year, I say unto you today, it shall be done..........

Start speaking over yourself. Encourage yourself in God.

Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Good Morning to All and Happy, Happy, Thursday to YOU! I greet you on this wonderful morning in the Almighty name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I greet you with great expectancy in my heart. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. This is a day that you
have not seen before and it has been ordained just for you! I dare you to
experience the awesomeness of GOD, for He is truly that, awesome!

I trust this email finds all doing well as I am.

This morning's devotional deals with the area of accountability.

Genesis 4:9 - Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"

Who do you have in your life that you are accountable to? Do you have at least one person (believer) you are totally transparent with? Are you spiritually connected to someone who holds you accountable for your actions?
Are you connected to someone who can give you sound, spiritual advice and encouragement?

I am a firm believer that every believer needs someone to be accountable to on this earth.

Accountability brings about transparency.

Everyboby needs somebody to be accountable to.

Accountability brings about honesty.

Dishonesty will destroy any relationship!

In accountability, you will have to care enough to lovingly speak the truth, even when you would rather gloss over a problem or ignore an issue.
While it is much easier to remain silent when others around you are harming themselves or others are entangled with sinful patterns, it is not the loving thing to do.

Most people have no one in their lives who loves them enough to tell them the truth (even when it is painful), so they continue in self-destructive ways.


The bible tell us to ?speak the truth in love.?


?An honest answer is a sign of true friendship.?


A true friend will never endorse your wrong doing.


There is a lot more I want to say about this subject, but I realize this is just a devotional and not a sermon, but I do charge you to, if you have not already done so, find someone to be accountable to in your spiritual walk.
It can make a big difference in your growth and maturity as a person and most of all as a believer!

Psalm 1: How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, not sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord.

What does your life say to others when they encounter you?

When people are in your presence, do they feel better after encountering you or do they feel worse?

What kind of influence to you have on others?

Are you capable of influencing others to do better, to do the right thing, to operate according to the Word of God, and to live a life that is pleasing to Him?

In your circle of friends and acquaintances, are you one to impact the lives of others for good? Or are you more prone to be under the influence of those who know no better and those that are not trying to do better?

Could it be that your worldly friends and acquaintances have more influence over you, than you over them?

I admonish you to examine yourself today.

Is your ?front? bigger and better than your content (who you really are)?
Are the words that leave your mouth lining up with what you actually do?
Think about it!

Whether you know it or not, people watch you.

I will let you in on a little secret ? They watch what you do more than listen to what you say!

You can actually change someone?s life by your influence.

Who have you influenced? Who are you influencing?

Is your influence for good or bad? better or worse?

You can?t lead where you don?t go; and you can?t teach what you don?t know.

Make it an EXCELLENT day!

This morning's devotional is short in nature, but significant in measure...........

Luke 16: 10 -13 Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much; and whoever is unrighteous in very little is also unrighteous in much. *So if you have not been faithful with the unrighteous money, who will trust you with what is genuine? *And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what is your own? *No servant can be the slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.

How many times has GOD entrusted you with his blessings of favor in your life?

How many times has he blessed you even inspite of yourself?

How many times have you received the blessings of God and continued to be
disobedient in your ways, even though you knew better?

If you can't be faithful in the little things, do you honestly expect the big things
to become manifest?

I ask you this:

CAN GOD TRUST YOU?

I trust that this email finds all doing well, as I am.

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.


2 Chronicles 7:14 - If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

When most people think of healing, they almost immediately think of physical
healing.

God not only heals us physically. God has all power and He heals in so many other
ways too.

Thank God on this morning for who He is and for that ability!

This morning, I want to address inner healing. The healing of emotions and in
particular, unforgiveness.

Because we as humans, on an every day basis, encounter and experience so much
"stuff", we can be deemed, at times, damaged goods.

We are often times wounded vessels. We are often hurt by other people. From
gossip, to slander, to deceit, to malice, we endure a number of things.

We are often times faced with how to deal with our emotions. We deal with
unforgiveness (whether you want to admit it or not).

But I thank God that He is a God who can heal us from the inside out. He is a
healer of emotions.

Matthew 8:8 (b) - *But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

This morning I share this prayer with you that I often refer back to from time to
time. I pray that it be a blessing to you.

Lord Jesus,
Through the healing power of the Holy Spirit, I ask you to walk back into my memory
with me. Every hurt that has been done to me, I release to you.

Lord, you have the power to heal. I also have the power to heal. For my part, I
choose to forgive anyone responsible for that hurt. You have died for their sin as
well as mine, so they owe me nothing.

Any bitterness that may have come into my spirit as a result of these hurts, I
surrender to you. Fill that empty space with your love. I ask you to give me the
love that you have for them so I may see the good in them that you see.

Lord, if I have caused any harm to this person, I ask you to heal that also. I, too, am guilty of hurting others without realizing it. If there is anything I must to do to make amends for the harm I have caused, I ask you to bring that to my awareness.

The more forgiveness I choose to give to those who have harmed me, the more
forgiveness and healing I will receive from you. I claim the power of forgiveness
you promised to those who forgive.

Thank you for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Psalms 139:14 - I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

I Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

In today's society, there is a rampant desire for people to imitate each other. It appears that everybody is trying to be like everybody else, and not themselves. Is it that we do not really know who we are?

There is a fleshly desire to get what belongs to another.

God created you just like He wanted. You were created in His image, and no one else's.

Do you realize that nobody else on this earth is exactly like you? No one.

Do you realize that God has a patent on your design? You have your very own blueprint.

You were tailor made. Isn't that good news.

There are times when we want to compare ourselves (lives) to others. We sometimes say to ourselves, "Now why can't I be like that?" I can answer that for you. God did not design it to be so. You are who you are, because God orchestrated it to be.

You are a special design.

Celebrate whose you are, and then celebrate who you are.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Good Morning All and Happy, Happy Tuesday to You! I greet you in abundant peace on today. God is an awesome God. For He is good and His mercy endures forever. This is yet another day that the Lord has made. I am rejoicing and being glad in it. I invite you to do the same. I am experiencing a brand new mercy. How about you?

James 5:11 - Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Do you know that you have been equipped by God to endure. Even in those times when you wanted to throw in the towel and call it game over, you were blessed to endure. God has equipped each one of His children with staying power.

Now matter how many blows you have taken, you came back even stronger.

There are times when you and I have been hit from every angle, but to the glory of God, we bounced back.

Many of us have faced hurts, pain, disappointments, job loss, relationship failure, discouragement, gossip, slander, envy, lies and other negative things, but through it all, God kept you. You stayed the course.

You are blessed to endure!

So today, I encourage you to go on and leap over walls.

Psalm 18:29 - For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall.

Fight on and don't ever give up! I do not care what it looks or feels like, you my friend, have been equipped to win. You have been equipped to conquer.

II Timothy 2: 3 - You therefore must endurehardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

II Timothy 2:10 - Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

II Timothy 2:12 - If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.

This is yet another day that the Lord has made. I am rejoicing and being glad in it. I admonish you to do the same. GOD is awesome and He cares just for you.

This morning's devotional is near and dear to me, as it is clearly the street I am on for the remainder of this year. It is a devotional than can be referred to over and over and over again, as it is relevant to those of us who are called, destined and walking in purpose.

Isaiah 43:18-19 - Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. *Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

You need to understand this important kingdom principle: revelation never comes in its mature state. When you first get pregnant with a vision or message from God, you receive the seed of the revelation. It has to get in you before it can grow and begin to stretch you.

If God has been talking big things to you, then you had better get ready for change. And I repeat, if God has been talking big things to you, then you had better get ready for change.

What change, you ask?

Change is different for different people. It could be where you used to go ; it could be the crowd you used to hang out with; it could be your inability to control your flesh; it could be your attitude, your pride or your immaturity to embrace commitment (the things of God), just to name a few.

What are you holding on to today that will abort the seed God planted in your spirit?

Who shall separate you?

Romans 8: 35-39- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? *As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. *Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. *For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, *Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What ?old thing? do you have your grip on so tight that is preventing the ?new? from springing forth in your life?

Giving birth is not always an easy process, but when birth has taken place, it is always worth the discomfort you went through to give it.

If He spoke it, shall He not perform it.

If God said it, then that settles it.

Ask God to grant you grace to walk in obedience and faith as you are stretched and molded into the ?new?.

May God help you carry your seed until it is fully revealed and developed.

This morning's devotional is a repeat from a good while ago; however, I sense that it is still appropriate to this current day.

John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.


Learn how to say NO! The key to getting what you want is rejecting what you don't
want! Life is like a buffet! Take what you like and leave behind the offers that
don't fit your highest wish. What you walk away from determines what you walk in
to.

In life, we have choices. Unfortunately, many people make the wrong choices and
have to deal with the consequences of them.

How many times have you said "yes" to the wrong person, place or thing? How many
times have you willfully walked into trouble, turmoil, distress and disaster, while
knowing deep down on the inside that this is not the right decision or the right
thing to do?

How many times have you been lead by your flesh? and how many times has your flesh
reaped destruction as a result of your spontaneous, irrational, uninformed
decision(s)?

I have good news for you today!

The good news is that God will never leave you in a terrible situation! Some
situations we are placed in come to make us stronger!

Some situations we choose to "dibble and dabble" in come to teach us valuable
lessons in life.

I admonish you today to choose life!

The Word of God declares that we are to have life and that more abundantly!

What is keeping you from experiencing life more abundantly? Who is keeping you from
experiencing life more abundantly?

I do not know about you, but I am looking for the overflow, and anything and anybody
that would come to block that, has to go! (in Jesus name)

I admonish you again on today, learn to say no to those things and people that would
come to destroy you. The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy. The thief looks
good, smells good and behaves good, until he has got you! He has no regard for your
life!

Choose wisely today! You deserve only the best!

If God is not in it, get out of it!

Good Morning all and Happy, Happy Thursday to YOU! I greet you on this wonderfully blessed morning in the merciful and matchless name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is yet another day that the Lord has made.
I am rejoicing and being glad in it. I encourage you to do the same.
This day has been ordained just for you. What will you do with it? We are again experiencing a brand new mercy!

I trust that all is well with you, as it is with me.

I John 4:18- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

I Timothy 1:7 ? For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Psalm 27:1 - The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

This morning?s devotional deals with fear.

Is there something in your life right now that has you operating in fear?

Are you currently dealing with a situation that you are afraid to confront due to fear?

In my studies, I came across an article that dealt with fear. It stated that 92% of our worries (fears) are unjustified; either because they involve things that will never happen, things in the past or present that cannot be changed, or petty, unimportant things, which do not warrant effort.

I encourage you today to not operate in fear and worry. The vast majority of your worrying is a waste of time and energy!

The Word of God declares:

Philippians 4:6 ? Be anxious for nothing but in everything in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Stop operating in fear and start operating in faith!

Let's go from fear to faith!

Good Morning All and Happy, Happy Friday to YOU! I greet you on this beautiful morning in peace. Peace that surpasses all understanding. This is yet another day that the Lord has made. This is yet another day that has been ordained for you. Why not rejoice and be glad in it. This day has been ordained just for you! What will you do with it?

I trust that this email finds all doing well, as I am.

Matthew 16:24-25- Then Jesus said to His disciples, ?If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

This morning?s devotional is written from me to you on a very personal level.

In life we tend to always celebrate ?those blessings? to come into our lives.

We celebrate new homes, new cars, new jobs, and new relationships. We get excited about unexpected gifts and surprises.

We tend to celebrate things and people as they come into our lives, but I challenge your thinking on today.

There are some losses that we need to celebrate as well.

Let us not just celebrate the ?in blessings?, but we need to celebrate the ?out blessings?.

I truly believe that God is wise enough to push the delete button on some things and people in our lives who serve no purpose in our destiny and our future.

The Lord declares in Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

For the plans that the Lord have for you are to prosper you!

He came that you might have life and that more abundantly.

I say to you this morning to take a mental scroll and think of all the things you lost, or so you thought.

What did you lose? Was it a relationship that you thought you could not live without?

Did someone walk out of your life? Did you loose a job? A car? A home?

I say to you this morning that nothing just happens to those who truly love God.

The word of God declares that all things work together for good. All things.

For the losses?.thank you!

Sometimes you have to release a delete button praise.

For everything that God took out of your life that was never meant to be there?.thank you!
