Cynthia McKinney at It Again...Calling Her Own Staffer a Fool

DSN, you got to this before I could. Let's see where all of the McKinney supporters are after this one.

as a great American poet once said, "Stupid is as stupid does."

I saw it yesterday and waited to post it. See there is a certain moral ground of being an employer. I am promising you her aide is pissed and probably does not give a fugg about her at the present time. Then coming back and stating what should not be reported? WTF?????????

Her tone when she said fool was just down right ugly.

I don't know whether to shake my head, or laugh out loud.

Actually though, I kind of felt bad for her at the end. This whole situation is rather pathetic, and this latest incident takes it to a new low.

? Question: has anyone asked you about your confrontation with the Capitol police officer?

Answer: Actually you, media, are the only ones who are asking about that.

? Question: I'm sure you thought about this ? potentially someone might ask you about this, outside of the media, about the confrontation ? what would your response be, how do you explain it to the people of DeKalb County?

Answer: Well, actually no one has asked me other than you and so... I talk to my constituents about the things that are on their minds...

? Question: Do you think the incident will affect your chances for re-election?

Answer: You're talking about the incident I'm talking about issues.

? Question: You want to talk about issues, has the confrontation made it harder for you to focus on the issues? Has it been a distraction?

Answer: You're a distraction because that seems to be all you want to talk about ? but people here understand that my representation is much larger than any discreet incident

OFF CAMERA, WITH MIKE STILL ON:

? "This is crap ? they lied to Coz and Coz is a fool for believin' 'em. [Referring to aide Coz Carson]

I can't believe you people would take a comment like that and run with it the way yall are, as if she had said something sooooo outrageous.

People,
Don't fall for the ole okey doke like this.

btw,
McKinney went to a restaurant this wknd, didn't like the food, and complained about it.
I'm sure they'll write all about it and yall will eat it all up.

more of McKinney

Just heard that she was driving this morning, somebody cut her off and she gave them the finger.

Look for the story on CNN in a few.

:lol::lol:

First off the whole thing was a joke. Considering what happened, she should have and did know that the question was going to come up. Thats the media. Did she actually think that they wanted to hear about the issues? Heck NO.

Then her dumb behind gets up and walk off with the mic still on and make that comment. Like DSN said, its not so much was she said but how she said it.

If she didn't feel that she had not done anything wrong, then why the she return and try to tell the media not to use that?

SHE IS A JOKE!

Being a vet in congress AND with as much negativity as she has been receiving lately, you'd think that she would be careful about what she says around the media, because of the simple fact that EVERYTHING she does/says right now will be magnified.

Obviously she knows how the media operates and tried to come back and tell them tell that comment she made about her aid was off the record. But surely she knew nothing is off the record when the cameras are still rolling and a mic is still taped to you.

Whatever the media gives, some of yall take it and lap it up.
Yall are "a fool for believing 'em". (thanks Cynthia)

hold to your guns MH. Stick with your girl until the very end. Thats what true friends do.

:uzi: :uzi: :uzi: :splat:

MH please tell me you don't think it's a right to call an employee a fool. Coz could sue her ARSE off right now.

She could have easily said, "Coz did not utilize his better judgement in this situation."

PR...SEND HELP...and a hair stylus

Mighty Hornet,

It wasn't so much that she called her staffer a fool, as it was the fact that this is one more WACKY incident involving this woman.

She gets up WITH HER MIC DANGLING FROM HER BLOUSE, and proceeds to call someone else a fool.

If ever there was a case of the "pot calling the kettle black", this is it.

What's not to believe? Dude, it's on tape!

I've worked in media long enough to know that they (producers/editors) are going to broadcast/print just what they want!
Black people just need to make sure we don't give them what they want!
In this case, McKinney should've just been more careful. She should've waited until she was totally away from the press. She'll know better next time...

ummm, not me.

I'm just intelligent enough to make an intelligent decision that this is such a minor thing that it really is not newsworthy at all.

btw, I told you before, I don't co-sign everything McKinney does/says.

sweets,
Dude, stop trying to act like this is some earth shattering moment.
It's not.

MH...seriously...an employer should never call an employee fool you know it and I know it. ALL BS aside.

All I can say is, "there went her reelection". I bet Hank Johnson (her opponent in the next election) is really banking on her to continue to shoot herself in the foot.:smash:
