This current coach beat su, so that was enough for yall. Yall couldn't pass up a chance to hire someone who beat su. If he loses this year to su, yall gone fire him like yall did Spears? Spears beat Pete 2 out of 3...if it was about SU, we would have kept him.

I really wish they would let you in the Blue Bengal forum so that some of them with the good sense (thanks Rob) not to step this way with weakness could tell you better. Oh well... maybe one day, just like fans have been saying since yall didn't hire LC.

Spears had other baggage that superceded su, and that was money yall thought the ncaa was gone take from yall via fines, so yall made the first move and left Spears out to dry. Your current coach did beat su, so that did put him at the front of the line. Wonder what his record is against Comegy?

Beating one particular team is not the focus at Grambling...we expect to win championships. Spears was a good coach...it just didn't go well for him (overall) at Grambling. Now he'd make a good coach or OC for yall...you guys need some imagination on Offense.

MB, don't be so mean. JSU has too many backs for Spears to even think about coming here. We're more than just a pass-oriented team. Grambling will find out soon enough.

Spears can coach a run oriented offense... he did it before Bruce and also the year that Bruce got injured. However, it was only after the fans complained (and) he knew he had best get his shiit together in order to get the "interim" tag removed. Nothing wrong with being pass oriented...but he got carried away with the quick strike successes that Bruce had and couldn't control himself.

We don't want no grambling anything, ESPECIALLY uncontrollable leftovers. Besides, if Spears couldn't make it at grambling, with those fans, ain't no way in hades he'd make it at JSU for one season.:no:
