Does anyone eat cornbread? Do you prefer white or yellow?I prefer yellow made from Martha White cornbread mix.

I do white mostly. It's just made from white corn meal. I used to use Yellow to ONLY fry fish before I switched to those New Orleans "Fish Fry" w/the seasoning mixed in.

I despise Jiffy. I grew up with homemade cornbread. We would pick some corn from the garden and let it dry. then granny would take it to the stone mill and they would ground corn into meal. Then she would bake some with some turnip greens. Man, my mouth is watering right now.

When my mom would pass that Jiffy off on us, we would eat it, but mad cuz it wasn't Granny cornbread.

we would go outside and pick a tomato off the vine and go to work. I used to just eat a tomato with salt on it.
