I Never meant 2 cause GSU any sorrow
I Never meant 2 cause JSU or SU any pain
I only want to one time see them crying after the game
I only want 2 see them crying in the Cooper Rain.

Cooper rain, Cooper Rain

I never wanted to run up the score but the DP said they would ruin my weekend.
I only wanted 2 be your SWAC Friend
But, GR just would never shut up
it's such a shame our friendship never got off the ground

Cooper Rain, Cooper Rain

I only want to see the Big Three underneat Cooper Rain
Hughes, Doug, Dorsey, Pete, Hardman, Jones, Thomas, DR. Thomas, LC I know times are changing
It is time we all reach out and reach out for something new
You know I am your D1A leader
But your fan don't know how to make up their minds
I am going to close those mouths
and guide the Bulldogs through the Cooper Rain.

Cooper Rain, Cooper Rain

I only want 2 see you, only want to see you on Saturday in the Cooper Rain.

TRU, Kool Aid is on a roll, he challenged the #1 Mafia today, of course you know GR, tried to smooth it over. But in the end Kool Aid got the message.

KA, stop putting lemon juice in your kool Aid. If you are hooked, then use it after work.

I just cant get over the fact that you know who Prince is. The Royal Rocker himself...

Purple Rain the movie must have just come out in Huntsville?

GR, I was watching Puff Daddy on the Late Show last night and he said he was an independent business man (paperboy) at age 12. I had this flash back because I too was a paperboy. He explained how he doubled his income in less than a year.

GR, and you to Soloman, you all should hear some of my stories as a paperboy. I started much eariler than Puff Daddy. I did this seven days a week on a bicycle, in the rain, in the snow, in the ice and never missed a day from 7th grade to graduation.

Each Sunday we had to pay our bills, and you know the man tried to cheat us out of few dollars each Sunday. Ofter, I would look at what I had left in my hand after paying my bill. I would say Mr. Houston, it seems like you are getting all the money and I am doing all the work. Mr. Houston would take a puff off his Cuban cigar lean back and say boy you money is out on the route, all you have to do is collect it.

You know I was pi--ed to the highest degree, just like GR, SOG and JRock will be feeling when we waxed that arse this year.

Well to make a long story short. After graduation, I quit Mr. Houston call my father and told him that I had not paid my bill.

I call Mr. Houston and told him that his money was out on the route because I had mine.

After being a paperboy for all those years and being trained by Mr. Houston I learned to like Prince, wrestling, soaps, rap music, hip hop, Jesse, Edward Edwards, Long and Bilbo, but I am trying very hard to like JSU, SU and GSU. These schools have some smackers who have not noticed that AAMU just got into the conference and played in the SCG last year.

I wondering if they had been paperboys instead of hamburger turners, jutst maybe they would think different about AAMU.

Man,

I was waiting on you to tell us about how you use to walk to school, at 4am, in the snow, uphill, both ways, with your little brother on your back, after being in the cotton fields all night.

I only lived a half a block from school.

I attended Bessemer Colored High School built in 1929, which was changed to Dunbar High School, because the white high school was also Bessemer High School. We kept getting their new stuff and they went along with a name change to cut down on confusion. At one time they could not tell the difference in the students.

GR, I used that cotton fields line when I was in the Army. But sometime my spouse said you missed a lot by not living on a farm. I just smile. I was a paperboy not a farmer.

GR, you are the only writer that picked Cooper to win the Miles and Tuskegee games and the rest is history.

Now if I had thought they were a cake walk I would be just as upset as you. But the young coach quickly learned that these folks come to play. Don't forget Cooper took the so called best program in the SWAC to overtime. We took the self proclaimed Kitty Cats to the edge each ball game.
