I've been hearing that the Dell's were really good and inexpensive. I don't have a grand to spend, but $500 sounds much better. Now, that's not $500 with rebates, is it?

If you wanna go that route, holla at me. We get employee discounts with Dell, which is another 5 or 10% off. Plus sometime they throw in an additional rebate. We only paid $432 for that machine after rebates, shipping, and taxes.

Celeron is actually much better than it used to be. It's gotten more memory on the processor itself to help process data faster. My preference is still Pentium, but if there's a significant price difference, Celeron could be the way to go.Originally posted by Batman
I am partial to Pentium, myself. Have you all heard of any processors that weren't that reliable? I see a lot of Celeron processors around, as well.
