Does anyone know the attendance of the Circle City Classic this past weekend? And from the people who attended, which team appeared to have more fans, Southern or AAMU?

The band and thousands of SU fans were stranded in Louisiana on Friday as heavy rain and winds from Hurricane Lili wreaked havoc on travel plans.

Jagster, sweetie, I am not trying to talk smack, just simply stating what I know. The number you quoted, the over 250,000, is the number of people that it was estimated statewide that were without electricity, not just in Baton Rouge. The numbers were greatest in the Lafayette, New Iberia area. Being honest and facing the facts is a wonderful thing to practice doing. If you want to look at the whole state, cool. Let's examine it. The State of LA employs more people in the state than anyone other employer. On Wednesday, state agencies in all areas of the state shut down and gave their employees Thursday off. If it was a state agency's pay week, they even gave out checks on Wednesday, instead of waiting until Friday. I'm sure you know SU gave their students and faculty the rest of the week off. Only the staff had to report on Friday. Most folks, I know that had made plans to go to Indy via car, took advantage of the time off and left for Indy before the storm hit. Those that had air travel plans were able to fly out Thursday evening and all day Friday and Saturday. I'm definitely not going to believe that everyone that was scheduled to ride a bus had a tree fall on their house.
The ovewhelming majority of SU's "nation" just simply never even had plans to go because they are disappointed in the team and Petey. The car flags aren't even as prevalent as when you had winning seasons. I wish you were having a better season, so I can look forward to a good game of football come Bayou Classic.
Again, I am not trying to talk smack and will not go back and forth about it. I'm just telling it like it is in my opinion that is drawn from my conclusions of my observations. I really dislike excuses. Y'all can carry on with the weather excuses. Some people will actually believe anything.

Was it raining in Ruston when only 6700 people showed up for your game?
