They bout to mess around and have a bunch of schools scrambling to find a game to fill that void. I know A&T and NSU gonna be pissed since they gave up their game to help CSU out with scheduling.

Based on that it doesn't make sense to have spring practice, not enough bodies.

Chicago State fast tracked the process. I think they conducted a feasibility study in 2021 or 2022, announced the formation of the program late 2024-25 and hired the head coach about a year ago. Usually most programs don't play a full schedule until a couple yrs after they hire a staff and have players on campus

With the new Swac rules about playing lower division schools, I expect to see them on some Swac schools schedule in the future.

AND HOPEFULLY no more VUL on the schedules. I mean, if you're gonna schedule VUL, may as well at least schedule some D2's from the SIAC or CIAA.

While VUL will be off SWAC schools schedules next season and going forward due to new their new conference rules, I suspect there will be some MEAC schools that will still be playing VUL and I suspect Chicago State will play them on somewhat regular basis.

Wouldn't surprise me with only 6 football members right now.
Altho, MEAC teams still have other options other than playing VUL.
