I've played since I was about eight,
and this place has the most challenging
opponets I've had the pleasure of either
beating or getting beat by. Check it out.

Dtown,
It beats the heck out of checkers....;)

It may seem a little boring and/or elitest,
but it provides mental exercise like few
other things can.

I hear ya my SU sista, but I don't like Checkers either. As you may have noticed, Dtown likes excitement in her life.;)

For Excitement.........

Play Strip Chess
(Everytime you lose a piece you take off a piece)
....my hubby and I played....and it was fun....
Just rememebr to close all your blinds.

On the real:
"Excitement is as excitement does"
(My apologies to Forrests' Mom)

If it's not for you, ...then it's not for you.
I posted the thread for those who "enjoy the game".

Thanks Mama-to-be !!!

Thanks Storm_ofSU. I'm going to have to check this site out in my spare time.

I haven't played in a while (about 6 months or so), so I'm getting my Bobby Fischer on and am taking a small hiatus.

I would be more than happy to test my intellectual mettle against yours in the near future.

That picture kinda resembles my set at home.

Thanks Storm. I played someone in Lebanon and beat them in about 10 moves. I dont think that they really know how to play. Oh well.....

You're very welcome Phats.

Dtown,
Tell me how it turns out. :)

Blacknbengal,
I don't think I've played any Lebanese,
but watch out for the Russian Federation,
and those darn Israeli's.

Thanks for the link Storm_ofSU.

I think I'll need to brush up my skills a bit more before I check it out. Any links on 'How to play chess' or 'Chess 101'??

:)

This is true. Chess is a thinking person’s game, and I will say the same for checkers. Albeit one could say that chess includes more strategy. I have been very slack in playing chess and checkers. So I will have to take to the Chessmaster and the Chess Advantage, which includes Maurice Ashley Teaches Chess. To be brutally honest, I have been down right lazy. So I have to brush up on my skills before going to that site. But thanks Storm.
