Cellphone Spy Tools Have Flooded Local Police Departments



The ways local cops are "catching" thieves and "cutting down" crime.

Major cities throughout the U.S. have spent millions on mobile surveillance tools—but there are still few rules about what happens to the information they capture.
If this is the case, why didn't they capture the husband and wife in california a few years ago? The husband killed some people and was killed. The FBI went to apple to have the guys phone unlocked but they refused.

They never did need Apple to unlock the phone.That was the hidden mirrors trick for the public. Once Apple refused you saw how all of a sudden they could/were able to unlock the phone.

I don't think they can prevent all things from happening but they keep up with enough to prevent some things.
