For Texas Southern, the top defensive performance came from Corey Alexander with 9 tackles (5 solo), 1 TFL (6), 1 FF, 1 interception and 2 PDs.


Can someone please explain how this young man is noticed (not a bad performance.)

Jarrette Prout (LB)- Mississippi Valley State- 9 tackles and 3 tackles for loss with one fumble recovery.


But the TSU DB was not? Just Asking?:cool:

Just an explanation, not an excuse ...

The process of writing up the games and POW articles is a two-part process. The players nominated by the schools are listed in their categories, then selected ... those that do not make the top spots are placed in the "notables" section. The game reviews are written seperately and the information listed is taken from the game reports generated from the game files.

Generally, we try to list "all" notables because we want to acknowledge performance league-wide, but if we do not get nominations from the schools (which we did not get from TXSO) then a name might get missed on the notables :bawling: .

This was the case this week with the TXSO player, he was missed on the "notables" list on the POW write-up ... BUT NOT MISSED in the game recaps.
