BoomBox Preview

I fondly remember attending the JSU/Valley game on my birthday in 2018 and to hear Roger Wicker get booed out of the stadium made my heart smile

Hopefully CG doesn't get any bright ideas and invite him on in any shape, form or fashion

I was trying to remember who that was lol.

I got JSU by 14 or 21.

Also I found this interesting. Jackson's mayor is saying that two weekends with a huge influx of visitors in Jackson might put the city on a boil notice again. I can't wait until this issue is resolved.

You just couldn't wait to post this huh?

Or maybe most people outside of THEEions on this post see that the governor who has continue the time honored GOP tradition of neglecting HBCUs and Jackson until the water crisis became a national story is now trying to get on the bandwagon of ESPN coming to Jackson because of a HBCU he neglected.

But sure... "I couldn't wait to post this"

Mane, git yo blue font posting ass on wit all that. Go post about how yall took five (5) ass whoopings on yall Homecoming. 1 for the game, 1 for halftime, and 3 after the game.

The weather system coming through here Friday late will be in JXN on Saturday for sure, even stronger with the daytime heating which takes place.

Hope the weather doesn't dampen the spirits of many AND that all do their best to show up and show out w/out acting out for the national broadcast.

If the city of Jackson is unable to accommodate a large number of visitors due to its water crisis, it seems that JSU would have sought out a different venue, including playing the game in Louisiana, where no such water crisis exist

Here's my 2.5 cents....

Regardless of the stats, who's new on who's team, who remembers last year, last last years, this IS the most heated rivalry in HBCU football, FCS football, football in the South...... just football period.

Sometimes, the stats matter, sometimes they don't. Sometimes the weather makes a difference. Sometimes, it doesn't.

But, (IMO) what is true, this game has been College Gameday worthy every since they've had college gameday. The atmosphere for this game has always been intense, heated, and sometimes rude. But it wouldn't be a true SU/J-State matchup if it weren't.

Good luck to everyone.....including the fans.

Most folks stay in the metro area. Flowood, Pearl, Madison, Clinton etc. Its not all on Jackson, he's just reaching for some attention.

Where will they go? They don't have a choice but to play in Jackson at The Vet. Lets just pray that the issue doesn't worsen and the visitors don't stay long enough to add too much pressure to the water system

The forecast is looking bad ... damn! I so wanted a perfect weather day. There's still a slight chance the weather forecast will change so fingers crossed. Of all days for it pour down in Jackson of course it gotta the biggest HBCU football game of the year
