McDonald?s Battle of the Bands & Greek Show is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Reliant Stadium at Reliant Park.

That is just hours after the PV/TSU game. If it is going to start at 1:30 it will not end until at least 4:30pm...maybe even 5pm. They have to get people out, build the stage and all that.

On top of that, the surface at Reliant is natural grass. I wonder if it will be able to endure all of the elements, construction, etc.

Interesting.

How is it related to this forum?

The Sports Board
A open forum for sports talk on SWAC and non SWAC related issues

It should be in the band forum because of the title of the thread and what the message it is telling.

BC BOTB & Stepshow, it has nothing to do with sports or even PV-TSU sports.

Where is Kenn when you need him........ :teleport: :emlaugh:

Damn stay cool bro... I should be the one with a bad attitude since my team lost to Annie Mae.

Interesting choice of a verb...the Falcons lost to the Patriots. The same verb used for the the Saints debacle should be used for that traditionless exhibition of football on the Bluff last Saturday.

Don't matter. I think you guys need to see how they put the turf on the field for games. It can be moved and put back in place very easily. I saw it with my own eyes when they had to remove the turf for a exhibition. If an area is damaged they just pull it up and put another piece of turf down in it's place and paint the lines down. I believe they will just pull up part of the turf for the stage and then put it back when it is over.

I don't think that they will even do that. The stage will probably be sitting on the sidelines or under the stadium in parts, moved and put together after the game. They have had concerts after football games and have had it like that without even pulling up the turf. Now for that Texans game on Sunday they will probably replace the center parts of the turf after the SU-*SU game.

Not according to McNair...

The Texans have a spare field of grass on reserve, but there will be no time to make a switch. McNair is concerned that by Sunday's kickoff the grass could be dangerous.
