My most memorable Band Performance was the 1964 BOOM - BOX BATTLE at Mumford Stadium! Although I was not born yet, I GOT A COPY OF THE TAPE FROM THE TAPEMASTER!
The Boom came unto the field in their traditional Tiger Run and broke out with
"Hello Dolly" by Louis Armstrong. Then the Jaysettes danced to "My Guy" by Mary Wells.......... Dayum they put on a show! The Boom then drilled to "Louie-Louie", by The Kingsmen.
Not to be out done was the Juke Box.......... SU hit the field blowing "Where did our Love Go", by the Supremes. Then drilled to "I get around" by The Beach Boys and closed by show by dancing and performing to "Dancing in the Street", by Martha and The Vandellas!!!!! SU existed the field blowing "The Way You do the Things You do", by The Temptations!
Dayum, the was a halftime to remember. :lmao:
