Why would you give Grambling (and Southern) bulletin board material the week of the game? You will be destroyed this week by GSU and imbarrassed if you make it to the SCG by SU.

LOUISIANA CHALLENGE: Alabama State, after an 0-2 start that included a 32-7 belting by Southern in a game that didn't count toward SWAC standings, has won five in a row. The Hornets (5-2, 3-1), in the Eastern Division, play host to No. 6 Grambling (7-0, 5-0), of the Western Division, in the SWAC's marquee matchup Saturday.

After blasting rival Alabama A&M 35-0 Saturday at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala., defensive end Earl Cochran told the Birmingham News: "We want to beat Grambling and knock them out (of the Dec. 1 title game). We want to play Southern here (at Legion Field). We want another shot at Southern."

Both Louisiana teams can use that comment -- overlooking Grambling and calling out Southern -- as motivation in the locker room.

By the way, a loss to Alabama State won't keep defending champion Grambling from returning to the SWAC title game. Only a loss in the Bayou Classic -- provided SU beats Texas Southern (3-5, 2-3) and Prairie View (2-5, 1-3) -- will do that.

Man what the hell does any of this have to do with the price of cotton in China? What does any of this have to do with your football team? Will any of this save you from getting your arses beat on Saturday?
