ASU Basketball,time to let go

Coach L Jackson has been the head coach at Bama State for 12 years or so. I would doubt his record is 50% even in conference. Bama State is on president number four or five, football coach four or five and AD four or five. What does Jackson have on the Hornet nation? Will it be hard to replace husband and wife? Is basketball just not a priority in the best funded athletic department?
 
young squad. will get better. lets not forget they've won multiple titles in the not distant past. ross dropped 30 in the dome today. my problem with the guys is the turnover from year to year on the roster. they've got 9 new players this season. it can't be like that every year.

LewJack is 130-66 all time in the SWAC. We'll see how good this team is when SWAC play starts
 
ASU will probably go 0-30 this season..A incompetent staff and bad recruiting has done Lew Jack in..

Malcolm as far as his scoring ability but don't know about his handle. They've got some pieces. 2 solid guards in Ross and gee. Ewusu is a slasher but jones has to be able to hit that mid range jumper in the pick and roll. Currently he cannot. I like Johnson but he has got to hit the glass harder.

I forgot all about Campbell. Ross can handle the ball. Johnson needs to work on his free throws also. I think he didn't start playing basketball until 10th or 11th grade. We don't have a center that we can throw it down to in the post.
 
I think most of the conference is deciding if you cant beat em join them. i mean TSU does not actively recruit freshman. Ifyou have noticed we have a new squad every year. You mentioned 9 new players. TSU stated philosophy is we cant complete for top high school talent so we may as well not recruit them. I am not sure if that is good or bad.
 



Let's also keep in mind that our returning scorer from last season is just now playing. Like I said, we'll see how good this team is during SWAC play.

You can't question the results in conferences and in certain years out of conference (see the year they beat 2 ranked team (including a Final Four MSU team). This year, they suffer from the same thing as other SWAC schools in that they compete with the bigger schools but can't finish the job or fall apart in the 2nd Half. TSU beign winless is not the same as Valley being winless despite a similar approach. They could have beat Oregon and a few more games. Valley has really only competed in about 5 games this year while Payne is playing musical chairs with his starting lineups. I would hope he finds a consistent one by the time conference play rolls around on 1/1

the names on bama state schedule aren't as big but they are good teams. the ft wayne squad they may face in new orleans this week beat Indiana last night.

Man stop with these lies are you really paying attention to basketball right now? It's Texas Southern that has the toughest non conference schedule and playing really tough with the big dogs. The only fear I have when conference play starts is they will start to play down after having competed well during non C play!
