My Child...Robert Hughes (who is 2-2 against Doug) may want to secure a SWAC title this year if he is interested in retaining employment with JSU. I will give him an A for his improvements thus far. Now all he has to do is make sure the team shows up and then witness the force they are going to release.

JSU has already pulled off in the car of SWAC excellence while everyone else is trying to figure out who their driver is going to be.

As far as the west goes...who really cares? They only have the 4th best team over there anyway.

Bama State is in for some terrible woes. The paid a coach 130K to coach against Miles and JC Smith. This is a sad situation that is about to get worser.

These are my final questions. I haven't spoken to one of my podnah's in a couple weeks from Jsue so decided to make sure still in smacking shape (smile).

1...No, we hope to have the game in Jackson next year instead of going to a DI school 2 years in a row.
2...Who in the hell wants SWAC officials? If we were playing the Klu Klux Klan, I would want Klu Klux Klan officials. Not them damn dumb sorry ass SWAC officials.

4...Here is what I dont understand. Hughes has a better record than Richardson over the past 2 years, with 2 victories over Rich, while he was rebuilding and Rich still had his SCG squad. Yet you always want to preach about firing Hughes. JSU fans are not in love with a coach. Unlike SU fan, we dont have the wool over our eyes. JSU fans always want better results and put pressure on the coach to perform. Just ask Gordon. We dont make stupid ass excuses for coaches like, "its an even year." When Rich has a losing record this year, are SU fans going to want Rich fired?

Get Ready, Just for the record, I never said anything about that even year stuff, I don't believe in that. To answer your question, yes, I think the jags can beat yall this year. My guess is it will be another hard fought game. IF Pete loses this year, we probably won't be calling for his head, but thier will be a little grumbling about it.

I don't why folks by into that odd year crap either. I mean we did win the SWAC in 98 right? I think the advocate came up with that stuff? We have beaten JSU in even number years 96 and 98. So I am with you. I aint whining about no even/odd number years. You win games no matter what year it is. So I am not buying into the odd year hype either.
 
That's the kind of stuff people say when they are looking for something to talk about. No football player gives a damn about that. Even or Odd, Jackson or Mumford or the Superdome, we trying to bust that arse.

NO....the 2002 team will not be the best team ever. Every thing remaining equal the 2003 team will be the greatest ever. You will still have to face the greatest QB in the history of college athletics.

You are so correct. JSU just flat laid down in Memphis last year. Im sure you know that your team was not 30 points better than mine last year, but we damn sure didnt play like it. Dont look for crap like that this year. We will be back with a much better defense, a much better offense, and much better special teams play. Can you say the same?
