Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs Jackson State: Game Updates - 2:00pm CT


Even though I like what's going on with is tiger right now, let's not get to happy with defense because Pine Bluff QB was just that bad. I'm not being hard on JSU win but honestly that QB was the worst I've seen in the swac ever. Tho, I pray the defense has gotten better and as good as they where for homecoming against a better QB. I had to make that disclosure because I know a lot of tigers so happy to have gotten that win that they overlooked how bad that QB was. Also our WR must start holding on to the ball. Jarin hit moll in the guts across the middle and he dropped it. Come on guys, you making your team have to do extra wrk. But I'm excited about the game versus Valley. Devin fosselmen said Jarin drops dimes last night on the call in show. He said he has to do is keep running. No looking for the ball, no slowing down or nothing . Just keep running. I love it !! I remember telling HJ that Thursday night before the tenn state game To try Jarin. I told him sometimes a different QB will spark the team and sometimes WR's respond better to different QB. He replied, " well u know like I said I told Ivy we put da Sattle on his back and like I said we gone ride him". And I said well ok coach . Yall have a safe drive to Memphis. . Lol. I see coach Jackson took his Sattle with him now he can come back and get his horse (Ivy) and start his own little ranch in California !!!!!!
 
FYI.. Ivy didn't turn the ball over against MTSU. He actually played well. We were down 21-14 in the Middle of the 2nd Quarter. Our Defense was just Putrid and Quite Frankly still is. We are just playing teams that are as bad as us. Not much of anything to take away from the Pine Bluff game. We could have let Jim Hill Played them Saturday and would have still won.LOL

NAWL FYI, the good shit your hearing about Jarin is not about the win !!!!!! Because the win includes everybody sir!!!!! What we are referring to is his leadership ability. How he's goes through progression, he checks down his receivers, he makes in game audibles and he continues to scan the field, he's quick on his feet, and last but not least something we all know Ivy is not good at and that's Jarin actually can read defenses !!!! So it's not about the win, we just saw a lot of techniques that no average QB would have had. So I'm not taking anything away from this QB and offense. On top of he utilize 11 different receivers. Now that's damn good. That mean it's hard to pinpoint. One guy because you never know who he'll go to. It's ok to have a go to guy but you have to be smart about it like Casey did with Rico. When you still spread the ball amongst your entire WR corps it leaves the go to guy open. His IQ of the game is what fans are excited about ! As far as the MtSU game , Anybody who knows football know that in the first half that's when the opposing team feeling you out. In which MtSU showed us that. When they got ready they turned on the jets. If he was true good QB as your trying to imply, then Ivy would have done more to have put points up. Sometimes you got to have that drive or that want to inside your heart to make something happen. Ivy forcing the ball to Williams, not thinking smart by spreading the ball out and then that would automatically get Williams open. But any true DC see him going to his go to first then it's like oh yea we got his azz now. HES JUST NOT SMART QB. Here's the run down . Ivy: strong arm, SLOW as hell on feet. . Jarin: high football IQ, light on feet. Jarin even had me fooled a couple of times. I didn't know who had the ball. With Ivy he doesn't execute his play action nor fakes well. To big n slow. So go on home with that yadadada. Just except the fact that Ivy just lost his job for the rest of this season !! Disclaimer. I'm not being hard on him because he's still one of us but this is football. Every fans of any team wants to see the best they have on field and if a player doesn't live up to there job they will get talked about. If you a collegiate football player with soft skin, you Dnt need to be on the field period. Now what Ivy has to do now is get better. Now he has pressure on him to get better, if he wants to see the field again. Previously it was his job no matter how good or bad he played. NOW ITS ABOUT COMPETITION !!!! I can live with Ivy as QB if he wins the competition but that just handing him the position and he hasn't won it is for the birds!!! But as I said before a lot of Ivy fans had to get on here and argue there point about how Ivy is the best and he's a good QB eyc. Well with Jarin he's showing all that on the field so my thought and comments are not needed. With that being said no more out of me on this thread !

PB was bad both defensively and offensively lol and with that bad QB they still hung in there with Bama state for a half and also scored at least two tds on every swac team they played. Bama state has the second best total defense and pb still scored on them.

But their defense is ass! Especially that secondary
 
It does not matter how bad UAPB was.... how many bad teams have we lost to? We lost to bad Grambling, SU, PV, Valley, AAMU and AlaState teams last year. .. and then we lost to sorry TNState and AAMU teams already this year... we beat PBs azz. The rest of your azz whoopings are on the way!

Nah cuz theres levels to sorry-ness...Pine Bluff is worse than last years Valley, at least Valley had a qb who could scramble and throw a little bit PB doesnt have that...
