Speaking of breaks. Why didn't the NCAA give your basketball team a break?

Over the last 40 or so years, HBCUs haven't gotten the cream of the crop, as they once did. That's what I'm saying. A lower quality student w/ open enrollment and other ridiculous standards in place. :smh: Simply amazing. :shame:

We were banned last year but the ban has been lifted this year. No one from GSU cried about the ban last year either either, we took it like men and moved on. No ban for us this year and improvements are being made so the NCAA gave us a break.

I know our basketball apr was bad because Luther rilley only retained 4 players from last year. It should see a big improvement this comming up year.

You all are STILL on the list though.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss the APR situation and those that have been affected by it--*aheem* Gram, PB, Valley, etc. The previous two threads were indeed closed prematurely as there was not enough *aheem* discussion dedicated to this subject.

Our goal remains the same: to highlight the "coalition" and their backwards ways of utilizing the APR initiative to ridicule schools like JSU and SU.

It's unfortunate--okay, well, really it aint  --that GUD feels this thread should be closed too. You may get your wish as certain MOD's do tend to lean toward the coalitions cause. :shame:

I recall when JSU was the subject of these --shall we call them, proceedings-- there was an unmistakable glorious glee on this board that I shall never forget. As a result, these threads need to be created to remind all of you of your shenanigans and trifling ways!

Expected and definitely not whining about it, it will rise due to more players graduating and us retaining better now. Transfers is the culprit of our APR, we must be do better and we put things in place and improvements are happening, thus for the ban is lifted.

You forgot GSU was banned last season in basketball. JSU gets ridiculed because of how yall people are lmao. That's why yall caught it so much lol

Transfers, huh. You sure it wasn't cause they didn't go to class?

That's my homie! I saw & spoke w/him on Father's Day.
I hope he gets that score up and get the program back to winning consistently

So, if you all are still on the list, then don't that mean you all STILL face the punishments named?

I don't! Rather than vote yes or no for us when the SWAC Council of Prez's voted to ban us, they didn't vote at all--stayed neutral or shall I say "luke-warm". And for that, Ima be just like Jesus when he said "You are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spew you out of my mouth!"

They get's the treatment too!

Our sanctions are:

1. Grambling can only play 27 games this season
2. Lose practice time (four hours/week)
3. Begins practice later.
4. Reduction in scholarships to ten

Those are the cards we are dealt with, so be it, we will be fine. We graduated a couple of basketball players in May, more coming out in Dec and many of the players are on either on the Presidents List, Deans List or Honor Roll. Those reasons the ban was listed because the NCAA see's the progress. No since of whining, just do better. Plain and Simple.

yeah...USAToday is not making any sense.

GUD can you come explain this b/c USA is talking in circles. :emlaugh:

You are lost because you are only talking and don't know, just following your comrades as usually, entering, jumping in and not knowing didly squat lmao. As usual. lol
