Any pet owners in the house?

Got pet? If so, what kind.

I have a 4 month old german shepard. She's growing by leaps and bounds and I believe she needs obidience training. She's BAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDD!!!

Yes, I've read that GS's are very strong willed, and need quite a bit of exercise and training, which is why I don't have one.

They sure are pretty, though ...

I love German Shepards. The sub division I live in has rules about dogs barking outside or something like that and I don't like dogs in the house so I can't get one at this time. That's why I'm going to buy me some land and build next time. This rules stuff sucks.

I have a 7 year old buff cocker spaniel that is housebroken.

Will sleep 24/7 if you let him.

lol@Maka.

I did the unthinkable and bought 2 more black chow-chow puppies. :)

Gorgeous, eh?

I have a 65 gallon Saltwater fish tank, and my new addition: I have a 9 week old male German Shepherd puppy named Mikko...

I got him when he was 3 weeks old, and Like NN said, he is growing by the day... Got weighed at the vet last week and he is now 13 pounds... He is full of energy and I have him about 95% housetrained.... Every once in a while he will pee on the carpet if I dont get him outside after he wakes up, but everything else is fine with him.... Going to have to post a pic of my big fella....

NN, I spend about 30 minutes to an hour each evening with him doing basic training and he is coming along fine... I have him enrolled in some obedience training but he cant start until he is 12 weeks old.... I then will put him thru Schuzand (sp?) training... That is basically what police and military dogs go thru... It is a three part training with tracking, basic obedience and guard/attack training....

Mikko is going to be a MAN!!! His mother and father are HUGE!!!! I have all his papers and he comes from a great bloodline of guard dogs....( :mrt: :mrt: who comes creeping up on me in a few short months)

I have a cat...after that tree episode with the bear...Immo stop irritating AZ so much.

His real name is Azrael...but I call him AZ because if he could talk he would be a British gangster rapper.

Wished I'd digitized the pix of the other two that I had for 13 years and 13.5 years respectively. :(

They were gorgeous and severely well pampered. lol Even tried to install an outside air conditioner in their plush huge dog house @ one point when I kicked them out after growling @ a young one. :)

I do miss Malcolm and Martin though. :( Those were my buddies. But these 2 are coming along just fine. Semi-house trained for 3 months isn't bad and they know they pappy/mammy-me. :)

Awww Panthro that pooch is too cute. I have (read as: my mama has) a chow. He's white and he's sometimey. We had 3 dogs and I left them right in Montgomery. I'll see them this weekend.

lol They do get quite irritable in their eldering age. :emlaugh: My prev two bit me well over 10 or 11 times (lost count). They'd be on the verge of fighting one another for dominance of the crib, truck, car, backyard, whatever... and right before they'd square off, I'd get between them and *SNAP* one of them would get me! Damn.

Otherwise, they were very smart dogs. Couldn't anybody walk up on me and think of giving a hug or shaking a hand, etc. They were very jealous and very protective. lol It was like I belonged to them instead of vice-versa. :) Very loyal.

P~ How often do you have to groom them?

Every single day I brush to keep the matting (undercoat) down. :)

They love to be rubbed/brushed. They just.... lay there w/ they legs open and all. Wonder if the same thing would work on a woman? *couldn't resist*

How about I would grab the brush for mine. He would look at me and turn around and walk the opposite direction to make me chase him. THen I'd get him and start brushing and he would be in heaven. I would always ask him why he was putting me through all that trouble. When I would finish brushing he would look at me to make sure I was finished and would just walk off as if to say "well you don't have a purpose anymore". He is sometimey I tell ya.
