Nothing against Comegy.
Just that HBCU's need to start hiring real business pros with a sports background in these AD positions. The days of moving the "assistant to the assistant track coach" with a marketing degree don't cut it these days. :lol:

This is what me and some of my colleagues talked about...The role of AD has many different hats they have to wear they have to be up on coaching decisions needs, assist with scheduling, compliance budget and tickets sales. But the MAIN THING is the AD is a GLORIFIED FUNDRAISER thats it!

Thats what we need at JSU a fundraiser who can bring JSU to a positive light and up to date with the practices in the Athletic Administrative world. We need a PROGRESSIVE AD who is looking for a start in my opinion. The goals at JSU needs to get bigger and more progressive then the Mom and Pop operation going on right now. True the budget wont lend its some of those things but that is where the FUNDRAISING SKILLS come in (after I get this MASTERS degree I may come back to work in Athletics at JSU)

I spoke to the former AD from Murray St he said the first thing most schools want to know from the AD is can they bring more EXPOSURE to the sports program. Thats what Oregon did in the mid 90's there AD was smart and it helped that Phil Knight was an alum, but Oregon AD was progressive and said Oregon needed more EXPOSURE and thats where the crazy uniforms came in!

I bet the men folks at JSU is like this is a fugging travesty. Messing up their jobs for them. LOL.

Id say it helped a lot LOL. Its east to be innovative when you have Nikes money and infrastructure at your disposal.

We haven't won a major sport championship since Viv been at JSU. GR is right that women shouldn't run sports programs.
