ANGELS

Are angels males and females?

All angels are males. God always refer to angels as males......"sons" of God. The only reason we have female on earth is for procreation. In heaven there is no such thing as marrying or procreation. Look at it this way, female, woman, women, and lady. If you ever watch the development of an embryo, look at the ovaries and clitoris of a female. The testes turn into ovaries and the penis turns into a clitoris.

Just as Doc said, neither.

Plus the does not maintain the gender of angels being female or male. But most of the time an angel is noted as a male. (Genesis 19:10-12; Revelation 7:2; 8:3; 10:7). In the book of Matthew (22:30) seems to indicate that angels are ?sexless,? without gender. According to Hebrews 1:14 ?they are ministering spirits? the word spirit (pneuma) and the part of speech is neuter noun ?not masculine of feminine (not male or female)

Also, God always refers to Himself in masculine language, but God is neither male nor female, but a Spirit. He just uses masculine language because it more sufficiently describes who He is and what He does. Why a ?male? look a the age in which the bible was written it was a patriarchal / male dominated.

"Son's of God"

Adam was a Son of God, but not an angel / angelic being.

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the Son of God." (Luke 3:38)

Adam was created by God, as were the angles. Thus, the 'Son of God' refers to the creative act, which is direct, not a pro-creative act. Human that has accepted Christ are the adopted Son?s of God.

Look at this way, God and Jesus are always referred to as males. For example, He, Him, and His. God is a male. Let us make man in "OUR" image. Adam was made in the image of God and the angels......a man. The sons of God slept with the daughters of men and impregnated them with their penis. This is nothing new.

The sons of God slept with the daughters of men and impregnated them with their penis. This is nothing new.

No that's stupid thinking. God is neither male or female but a Spirit. The word Spirit is a "neuter noun".

All one has to do is read beginning in verse one.

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The term "sons of God" as it occurs here in Hebrew refers
only to angels in the Old Testament (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7;

Angels do not reproduce (Matt. 22:30).

Argument

If God could impregnate Mary, spirit beings may be able to do the same thing to human women. Spirit beings cannot do everything that God can do.

Look at the scripture:

1 - And it came to pass (duration of time)
2 - when men began to multiply on the face of the earth (pro-creation, having babies, men = "adam" or mankind.
3 - daughters were born unto them (daughters - girls / daughters were born to the men.
4 - That the sons of God saw (sons = masculine noun) saw (to see, look at, inspect, perceive, consider) with their eyes or heart.
5 - daughters of men that they were fair
6 - and they took them wives of all which they chose. (the Sons of God - marry, take a wife, snatch, take away). Thew word took also mean (get, fetch, lay hold of, seize, receive, acquire, buy, bring)

BUt for argument - they married

7 - Here we have a change of subject (And the LORD said)
8 - ..... 120 years

"The judgment is that God will not endlessly and forever permit his life-giving spirit to enliven those who disorder his world. The breath of life (Gen. 2:7; Ps. 104:29-30) remains his to give and to recall."

9 - Change of subject - (were giants in the earth in those days) The "nephilim" were on the earth before and after the marriages of the
"sons of God" with the "daughters of men."

They were literally "fallen ones" or "tyrants." They were "mighty . . . men of renown." That is, they were powerful individuals, (maybe) military leaders. Moses later described the giants in Canaan as "nephilim" (Num. 13:33).

Note: The word giant or "nephilim" not "always" mean giant in size. The idea of "fallen ones" does not (mean) the fallen angles (demons / the ones that followed Lucifer). It also mean the one's that does not have a relationship with God, but they had at one time - why, because you cannot fall away frome something that you / never had.

But, the word giant also describe size as in (Num. 13:13) - and there is also a statement of comparison (grasshopers). A statement of comparison, was not used in Genesis. The word giant is also used in Det. 2:21, Josh 13:12 but has a different meaning "gentilic (noun)" this word that describes members of a people or the inhabitants of a place (America / Americans).

Therefore, the word giant, has another meaning..

Verification: Genes 6:5 - 8

Men's and women's actions were very wicked and their thoughts and
affections were completely evil by this time (11-12; Rom. 1:18-32).

God was sorry (repented) that He had made humankind because people generally did not want a relationship with God. They insisted on living life independentof God and consequently destroying themselves in sin. He was sorry over what His special creation had become.

So where does it say the "fallen angels" or angels had sex with women and they had offisprings? Where does it say "sons of God, were the "fallen angels"

sons of God slept with the daughters of men and impregnated them with their penis. This is nothing new..

To make a concrete statement, using the sons of God (angles) is definately not "Exegesis" Verses 6-8 supports the idea of the sons of God were of mankind and not offsprings of women and angles.

Since Matthew, say they are neither male or female. How is it possible, for an angles suddenly grow a penis. Afterall they are created spiritual beings by God, (when - the Bible does not specifically say when God created the angels, it was sometime before the world was created.)

Plus, Genesis God created "everything" only with the ability to reproduce after its own species as is stated ten times in Genesis 1. Dogs after dogs, cats after cats and humans after humans.

Therefore, if an angel was able to have sex with humans and have offsprings:

1 - the daughters of man was also angelic beings

2 - the angelic beings (fallen angles) were humans

3- God lied, when he said we are only able to produce after our own kind.

No that's stupid thinking. God is neither male or female but a Spirit. The word Spirit is a "neuter noun".

Whats is an image? Let us make man in "OUR" image. If God is not a male then why is it that we call Him "FATHER?" God has a holy spirit and Satan has an evil spirit......that simple. God is not just a spirit alone and you will never find this in the bible. Always listen to God's word and you will never go astray. Jesus is telling Phillip He is an exact copy of God in every way, including the physical form. God is not a spook or some force out in space. He looks like a man however He is "SUPERNATURAL" which means He is more natural than we humans. Hebrews 2:9 "But we see Jesus, Who was made a little lower(less natural/human) than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man."

John 14:7 "If ye had know Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him."

John 14:8 "Philip saith unto Him, "Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us."

John 41:9 "Jesus saith unto him, "Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, 'Shew us the Father' "

This verse says that God and the angels look like men, have feet and can consume earthly food. What part of this is hard to understand?

Genesis 18:2 "And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,"

Genesis 18:4 "Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:"

Genesis 18:6 "And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, "Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth."

Genesis 18:7 "And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetch a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it."

Genesis 18:8 "And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat."

I Thessalonians 4:13 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope."

I Corinthians 15:34 "Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame."

I Corinthians 15:35 "But some man will say, "How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?"

I Corinthians 15:36 "Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:"

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

I Corinthians 15:40 "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another."

I Corinthians 15:42 "So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:"

I Corinthians 15:43 "It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:"

I Corinthians 15:44 "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."

Paul is telling us we have two bodies. We have a terrestrial(EARTHLY) body and a celestial(HEAVENLY) body.

I Corinthians 15:50 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption."

I Corinthians 15:51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,"

I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

When Christ return we shall all change into our "CELESTIAL BODY(HEAVENLY)" within the twinkling of an eye.

Dr. H,

Genesis 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

Why didn't it say the daughters of God?

Why a ?male? look a the age in which the bible was written it was a patriarchal / male dominated.

Females were considered insufficient and property.

You said God is a male, I say He is neither male nor female, but a Spirit which is neuter or neutral. God is a Spirit, and does not possess human characteristics or limitations.

John 4:24 states, ?God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.? Since God is a spiritual being, God does not possess physical human characteristics. God uses figurative language in Scripture assigns human characteristics to Himself in order to make it possible for man to understand God. This is called as I mentioned in another topic this is called ?anthropomorphism.?

Anthropomorphism is method God (a spiritual being) uses to communicate (His) truth about His nature to mankind, a physical being. Mankind (Adam) is a physical being, (not like Angles ? spiritual beings) therefore, man is imperfect in his understanding of those things beyond the physical realm, and the use of anthropomorphism in Scripture helps man to understand who God is.

Again God is a spiritual being, and does not possess physical characteristics. This does not limit, however, how God may choose to reveal Himself to mankind. Scripture contains all the revelation God gave to man about Himself, and so is the only really objective source of information about God. In looking at what Scripture tells us, there are several observations of evidence about the form in which God revealed Himself to mankind:

God?s true ?makeup? needs to be understood (mankind cannot understand the true nature of god). God is a person, because He demonstrates all the characteristics of a human (but he is not a human): God has a mind, a will, an intellect, and emotions. God communicates, has relationships, desire, feeling, emotions and God?s His personal actions are shown throughout Scripture.

His ?Female? side

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen [doth gather] her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not! Luke 13:4? Mat. 23:37

Here we picture God as being a ?female? because He displays Himself as a ?hen? showing the caring of her chicks. The people of Israel could understand what God was saying, because they understood the nature of a hen caring for her chicks. But, is God a chicken, definitely not.

And this is an echo of Isaiah 66:13
"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem."

In Deut. 4:23; 9;3 and Hebrews 12:29, God is pictures as a ?consuming fire? but is He a fire, the answer is no.
There are several scriptures that Jesus portrays Himself as a ?Bride? the word bride (feminine noun or female). Yet, He is the Son of God (masculine noun)

Therefore, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit is neither male or female.

Is it possible for you to disprove my comments?

All those other scriptures you posted are great! However, they have nothing to do with validating whether God or Angles being male or female.

You are ok with me and I enjoy the exchange of information. And as I said before I love your zeal for knowledge.

God's Inspired Words

  • Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
  • John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
  • 1 Timothy 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
  • 1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Yet, we have a sighting!
He looks like a man however He is "SUPERNATURAL" which means He is more natural than we humans.

Given God's Inspired Words, the above comment can only be an assumption at "BEST". Can a stated Fact be based on an Assumption? Exhortation and expository teaching must be rooted in Biblical Fact; if Paul did not follow this method, the Noble people of Berea would have rejected Him after one day of Biblical research (Acts 17:10-11). We should seek & state facts clearly based in scripture not in our own assumptions.

Help me to understand this and please explain, are you saying, that the body I am living in, will be same body that will be resurrected after death? Or I am living in two bodies one terrestrial and the other celestial?

Paul tells us that our earthly body is one body. He further states that we have a heavenly body and that is another body. Our heavenly body is also called a spiritual body. When Christ resurrected He was in His spiritual body. This is why He made it clear to those who were listenening by saying, a spirit does not have flesh and blood. When we die we are finish with the flesh. Our heavenly body is inside of our earthly body and it steps out of the earthly body and into a heavenly demension. This is why we as humans can't see God and the angels without God allowing us to. We are in the flesh and it takes divine intervention to make this happen. Listen to those who are on their death bed talk and you will understand what I'm saying. They see things we can because they are in transition.

All Jokes aside, Your take on this is extremely disturbing. You seems to have gone far off the pages of scripture to using what could be the nebulous statements of people on their death bed. We should never take or except a person dieing words for spiritual insight, as tempting as this may be the Bible tells us "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9."

Brother, what Paul is stating in 1 Corinthians 15:44 when He referenced a spiritual body is not a dual body with the Flesh. It is that body which we will have after resurrection. If you read other Bible versions or KJV verses 42-44, it become Crystal clear.

American Standard
1 Corinthians 15:44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

-- Living Bible
1 Corinthians 15:44 They are just human bodies at death, but when they come back to life they will be superhuman bodies. For just as there are natural, human bodies, there are also supernatural, spiritual bodies.

-- Revised Standard
1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.

This raised would be the term "Rapture" as stated in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 & 1 Corinthians 15:52.

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

All Jokes aside, Your take on this is extremely disturbing.

Yes, it may be disturbing but its true. If the meat is too tough to chew then ask God for a better understanding of the word. I teach the word and if it offends some then be it as it may. I would rather teach God's word and offend people with truth than not teach God's word and upset our heavenly Father. If you think my words are extremely disturbing, then what do you think of these words?

Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

Matthew 10:35 "For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law."

Matthew 10:36 "And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."

Matthew 10:37 "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me."

Mathew 10:39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."

Matthew 10:40 "He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me."

Matthew 10:41 "He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward."

BTW, there is nothing wrong with learning what happens to the dead and what they see when they cross over to the other side. Remember, they're not actually dead. If you listen to them they're telling you what and who they see. Its a beautiful experience and its a blessing to know when we check out of here we continue to live, on the other side.
