NAJEE ALI: An open letter to Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr.

July 10, 2008

Rev. Jackson, your vulgar tirade caught on tape by Fox News where you said you wanted to cut Barack Obama's nuts off and accusing him of talking down to Black folks by giving moral lectures at churches is the last straw for me and a growing number of African Americans who are outraged at your comments.
There are many Blacks across the nation, myself included, who are appreciative for the work and contributions you have made in your civil rights career. But at this point, you're hurting Black America and Obama.
In September 2007 it was clear that you were frustrated by Obama, when you stated in an interview in South Carolina that Obama needs to stop acting white, because you felt he was not engaged in the Jena 6 movement enough to your liking.
Rev. Jackson your continued verbal attacks on Obama are unwarranted it's as if you're jealous that Obama has eclipsed you and both your campaigns for the Democratic nomination by actually preparing to win it as the 2008 presumptive nominee.

Interesting... a good 60% of the personal information in his open letter are flat out lies and the other 40% is sad.

But I am going to sit back and watch people eat it up like it is the gospel truth.

Thank you, Jesse Jackson! It's been a long time since the self-proclaimed black leader did anything useful, but Jackson has now -- quite unintentionally -- turned a bright spotlight on Barack Obama's traditional views of parenthood. With his crude remarks several days ago, Jackson raised public awareness of an aspect of Obama's beliefs that would have received little news media attention otherwise.

Apparently believing the microphone was off during a break on the set of "Fox & Friends," Jackson whispered to health-insurance executive Dr. Reed Tuckson, who is black, that Obama was "talking down to black people. I wanna cut his n-ts off."

Since then, the news cycle has been filled not only with Jackson's apology, but also with commentary over what Obama said to provoke Jackson's outrage. Now, many more Americans have been exposed to Obama's completely conventional, commonsense beliefs that fathers should be actively involved in their children's lives and that parents ought to encourage educational excellence.

I wonder if Jesse is involved in his outside child's life.

Cythina Tucker is nothing more just black face within corporate media.. Tucker made her career attacking those who's fight in the name of Social justice, economic justice, enviromental racism and others issues that are important to our glorius race..

Najee Ali is basically liberal equivlent of Jesse Lee Patterson with organization that does lot of talking and don't produce any results whatsoever.. Hell, one of his supporters is no other than Wallace Fhad Muhammad, the son of the honorable Elijah Muhammad.. Wallace Fhad Muhammad almost single handly ruined Nation OF Islam back in 1970's..

Barak Obama should address whites, white jews, and other nationalities about their moral falling as well.. Especially, need critcize some of his financial donors on Wall Street and Hollywood execs when it comes to hiring people of color..

Two QUESTION?!?!?!

WHO IS ADDRESSING THE WHITE FATHERS THAT'S NOT IN THEIR KIDS LIVES?!?!?

Secondly, how in the fug is that going to fix the economy and stain that was put on our black people from the start?!?!?!

This is interesting. I guess I will sit back and watch too.

I do not know about Ali but have read Cynthia Tucker's columns over the years. Albeit I have seldom read them for the past few years. You are absolutely correct. It seemed that every problem that Black people had were mostly the fault of the civil rights' leaders. She did not always seem to do her homework or careful research for her columns. To me she at times lack some basic knowledge.

BTW unless she changed her opinions, she is not the biggest fan of public HBCUs.

Speaking of financial institutions, look at the suprime loan crisis.

Two QUESTION?!?!?!

This may not be popular on this message board. But if Senator Obama talked about White fathers and their kids in that manner, he would be called a bigot. But the issue of fathers not being their for their kids is an American problem, not a Black one.

To me Iraq (and the issues surrounding it) and the economy are the most important issues. But this is just me.

Najee Ali never make camera he never like in his entire life as so-caled actvisit.. The dude was recently on trial for identity theft couple years back.. Mr. Ali has been exposed numerous folks in conservative and progressive cricles.. Darryl James and others has exposed Ali in other publications over the years..

Here's what I don't understand...

Why, if we know it's a problem...BIG problem, that affects the Black community...we always throw out comments like, "it's not just a Black problem, White folks do it too"?

So, since white fathers are absent does that make it alright? Does that minimize the affects in the Black community?

Say that again.
...And what is wrong with Obama, Cosby or anyone else critizing us for not teaching values and the importance to our kids?

That's the the point I think he's trying to make boo. What the problem with it is, is that black men are sick and tired of hearing the same old bullisht, and it becomes bullisht because nobody ever offers any solution and they (politicians and our women) make us out to be the villain and everyone else to be saints and it's done with a broad brush and prejudice.

There's enough blame to go around for everybody, the system they created that does more to push wanting fathers away and the women who are manipulative and work the system and uses an inoccent child for revenge.

They don't want to do that, because than they would have to take a good hard look at themselves in the mirror.

I guess you're not getting an answer/solution to the problem b/c most folks...well I... can't understand why I need to help anyone understand that if they know they have a child out there then they become responsible for that child.

Everybody can do everything else in the world...but when it comes to taking care of responsibilities, ie being a father, seems like the littlelest things becomes the biggest obstacles.

Okay.

Keep looking for the solution and saying, "well the white man do it so why keep talking about us". Like that's really getting "you" any closer to the answer.

Boo

Well lets look at perception-whose kids are the main ones out of control? Black kids. I'll go even further-most of the worst black kids I've dealt with-single parent homes where mother is in charge and for some odd reason these kids have no idea who daddy is.

There's a reason everyone keeps screaming for these fathers to be active in their kids lives. To at least give them a chance of being decent citizens. And sad thing is that it's funny that so many of these women have babies by the SORRIEST brothers on the planet. What do some of these women do? Stand outside the jail house and say come and get it?

I'm tired of hearing "His father is locked up." WOMAN didn't you know that BEFORE you got on your back?

Amen.

I have to agree with Blue on this one, the system is definitely broken and out-of-control. Black fathers have very little to say so once a Black child is placed on the system. Call it genocide or conspiracy theory, the system has destroyed more Black families than any. In all cases, the Black child, which is the future Black family becomes the victim. I knew a lot of people that were victims of the system. Even though they weren't perfect, my parents definitely didn't believe in the system. Welfare was not an option. Once a child's name is placed on someone?s little data base that person with that child?s name creates a lifelong job with that child and in most cases if not all, the Black father is made to seem like the villain. Who?s the blame when a child who?s financially supported by system and in the care of the mother dies from abuse? Not only the mother is abusive, but the system is at fault too, by not truthfully monitoring the child?s health and SAFETY. There have been cases where children have come up missing or dead and the system reports that the child is living in a SAFE, healthy, and happy environment. This happens all the time. Just the other day, a D.C. news station showed a clip of a Black mother hitting a very small boy (child couldn't have been over 2 years old) in the head with large shopping bag as they walked by a security camera. I guess the father should have been there to stop it.

Though a thousand miles away, I was held responsible in a similiar situation. How about the thread where the father was jailed because the girl skipped school.
The system only wants the father to to PAY. He can not be a part of that child's life. He can be denied that child. In my family, one borther was told that he wa the father after 16 years. The other brother was told he was the father after 10 years. I think there should be mandatory DNA testing after every birth. Both parents should be legal respnsible for 50% of the time with the child and financial support. If a woman can not find the daddy cus her a ho, the child should be her responsibility and the state.

What do you do when the mother doesn't want the father around? Hard to get that welfare check with a father trying to help with the child. You do have women that want the baby and not the daddy (unless he gets money).

And some of these girls plan it, have a baby and get ready for that government check. I saw one girl talking with her friends about how they were going to spend that check and how to get the soon to be born baby on welfare.

You are right about the system screwing us and once you get into it, you will get messed up. Even in the schools. One thing I would tell any man that fathers a child with a woman, make sure you BOTH are active in that child's life. Schools will WRITE off black boys (mainly) from single parent homes in a second and not playing a sport or showing any signs of intelligence. Especially if they know Dad is nowhere to be found and mom is (fill in the blank).

Also when you look at these jobs of child services-you are dealing with HIGH employee turnover. In the schools we might not see the same social worker or Parole Officer in the same school year. And the foster care system is a hellraiser. They will ship these kids from foster family to foster family like crazy.

That's why we have to rebuild the black families and creat backup plans for if something should happen to the parent that someone (and not the system) will get the child and take care of them.

You guys forgot to mention the big one. Once the state is given a name as the father, they automatically hit him with back child support.

It doesn't matter if he knew about the child or not (which happens a lot). I seen some case where a guy was told he was the father eight years after the child was born (never even knew about the kid) and was immediately put $43,500 in debt in the rears.
